Things are going from bad to worse, there is hardly and ministry of govt parastatals that is not having one issue of corruption or another, people are not doing the work they are vested with again, no body is serving this country out of being patrotic.

My pains is that even if these people are arrested, the judiciary will not help matter, the judiciary are as corrupt as every arm of the government , giving injuction and restraining orders against theives and arm robber running our polity, they keep on adjourning cases of corruption to an endless date.

What happened to corruption brought against people like

Iyabo Obasanjo and the then minister of health?

Bukola Saraki

Peter odili

Rasheed Ladoja

Gbenga Daniel

Orji Kalu

Jolly Nyame

Igbenedion

Bankole

Etteh

Oyinlola

chimaroke Nnamani

Ohakim

This is an appreciable percentage from ASUU request. And the goats are telling us the country is broke. How would it not broke. Only God knows how much President himself is embezzling everyday if an ordinary civil servant could have acess to 35b naira! Nigeria is lost.

Alhaji Bukar Goni and his likes should be tried and jailed immediately b4 they dent Gej's good reputaion.

There NLanders, I have been supporting president Jonathan on this forum of recent because of some good jobs he has done. But with this level of corruption in Nigeria, I have withdrawn my support. I am giving my support to Buhari finally. I have read from you guys in the past that what we need is a leader that can deliver the good gains of democracy, irrespective of where he comes from.

Buhari remains the only leader in Nigeria, that has no traces of corruption, Obasanjo testified to this. that when buhari was the minister of petroleum somebody said some money should be hanging in the fingers of buhari, and buhari didint find it very funny, and came to report to obasanjo, how he was greatly disappointed.

I challenge anyone in this forum to bring out a number of corrupt allegations against buhari, and bench mark against GEJ.

GEJ is not d Judiciary, you IJIOT.. He is doing exactly what is expecting of him here: create a System that Exposes these thieves, and then arresting and prosecuting them. And he has done so in this case WITHOUT any external prompting. Sentencing of a criminal is completely d Judiciary....#overemphasisonGEJgo killsomeofunaoneday

my thought as well, they do virtually nothing in the office, they only wait for monthly allocation to share among themselves, they won't give the umemployed opportunity to work, they keep changing their date of birth to stay long in service.

Division of the country will only make things worse for all break-way countries, the mafia leaders in individual countries of break away Nigeria will finally be able to have a firm grip! There will be a return of Idi amin-of-breakway-Nigeria, Mobutu-Seseseko-of-breakway-Nigeria. It will be wars upon wars everyday! We are better fighting this as one whole Nigeria.....there is no easy road out of this mess, we all just have to be brave.
The pensioners didn't help matters, they were once there, they once had power, they once worked in same office, they saw it going on, they enjoyed it and now it has come to bite them.
We got it wrong when Nigeria voted a man because his region was the treasure basket of the country, we got it wrong when Nigeria did not vote a man because everyone believed his region had a born-to-rule mentality. We got it wrong when Nigeria voted a man because he said he had no shoes as a boy. If we think like this and Nigeria breaks away with this kind of mentality all the break-away countries will also get it wrong, because then it wont be regional politics, it will be community politics.

There is simply no reason why GEJ should be re-elected, he has shown the highest level of incompetence, he has shown that he is very weak when it comes to corruption, the fear of corruption is dead in govt. If the aviation minister can justify her purchase of 2 BMW for over N250Million and still spend another day in same position....it speaks volumes that GEJ like he said about his assets declaration, doesn't give a damn!. And it is sad! You can't rule a country as big as Nigeria and not give a damn!. Think about the transformation from a man who once had no shoes to a man who now doesn't give a damn! We need humble leaders, we need someone that can look corruption straight in the eye and shoot out that eye!
The solution to corruption is looking at us straight in the eye, DEATH Penalty! but the big question is? Would You impose death penalty on yourself?
If GEJ can use the kind of power he used against Gov. Amaechi in Rivers State to wrestle corruption, he would be the best thing to ever happen to Nigeria since Nigeria was amalgamated by the fraudulent and self centered BRITS!
I look forward to the day when Nigeria will join USA and Gambia, and remove its self from the Commonwealth of SLAVED nations.

Their brains are too shallow to know that, maybe na APC task force dey investigate and arrest or na GEJ tell those aboki people to continue looting Nigeria money and na GEJ be de judge wey no de gree pass better judgement for court. There are so many dump people on Nairaland and guess the party they all support, APC thats to show you how dump the party is and is made up of clowns without brain.

Some very senior civil servants are extremely rich even richer than politicians.

There are too many loop holes. The fault fall squarely on the president. He should make the much needed reform and block the siphoning holes.
