Corruption by Tex Lava oozes over the mouth of volcanos spread throughout a vast canyon. Burning everything in its path. Rancorous spirits lurk in eerie shadows scattered across the desolate valley below. Swirls of obsidian fog float across the barren landscape, while angry dark clouds fill the sunless sky. A vile smelling wind blows the fog away, and disturbs the parched, cracked surface below. Ashes swirl around in the air, and on the ground. The earth burns the fleshy feet of the lowly creatures, that exist on this dreary, forsaken plain. Effulgence by Tex Radiant beams shine down through gaps in billowing white clouds, while vividly colored lilies turn their faces toward the sun. Majestic mountains rise up, and stand as sentinels protecting the seemingly infinite valley below. Birds perch cheerily in tall, proud trees. Lush, green grasses wave, as a soft, sweet breeze blows across the meadow beyond the forest. A gently flowing brook meanders from one end of the valley to the other. Iridescent creatures move about gracefully, as they watch powder blue butterflies gently kiss the flowers around them. |

Rush by Tex Every time I think of you, My face lights up for all to see. It turns a rosy hue, And there are butterflies in my tummy. Just your voice sets my thighs all a quiver, And my mind begins to muddle. The very thought of you gives me a shiver, And your kiss melts me into a puddle. When my phone pings, It is your face on the screen, I hope. Suddenly, my heart has wings, And the world becomes a kaleidoscope. Such wit and charm Are enough to turn a girls head. These 3 poems where recovered by Seun. They are from my new moniker after I deactivated. To be honest…I’m glad to be texanomaly again. I regretted it the moment I deactivated. Be absolutely sure before you do. These are from “More Random Ramblings”. I guess the original “Random Ramblings From the Mind of Tex" after Jan 10 is gone. I thought I backed up all my poetry, but some is missing. It is what it is… |

When Your Tears Fall Like Rain by Tex You try to pretend, but your life is hollow. Admittedly you seem to be free, But this emptiness just seems to follow. When your tears fall like rain, Who will be there to stop the pain? Deep in your heart you know it will only grow. In this game there may be fame, but in the end will it be the same? Now you’ve moved on, but that feeling…it can’t be forgotten. When your tears fall like rain, who will be there to lighten your burden? Even if it’s only make believe, t’was always there with relief you could be certain. Who is there to listen when moisture starts to glisten? Can you afford to burn that bridge?
