Jakumo: While it may not be the case in this particular instance, there have been a number of incidents where gunmen busy robbing victims became trigger-happy when one of the victims decided to start shouting "Blood of Jeesus!", or some such challenge, only to be silenced with a shot before the second verse escaped their lips.

When confronted by armed men, and with no escape path in sight, do NOT start shouting for Jeesus to come down from heaven in a helicopter gunship and save you, because frankly, you are not that important to Jeeesus, but more to the point, He expects you to think survival first, and slogans a very distant second, preferably AFTER the shooting stops and the gang have departed.

So, in a nutshell, if you ever find yourself among a captive audience held by men vested with the supreme power of firepower, keep your dialog with Jeeesus SILENT, or you may find yourself seated on Jeeeesus' right or left side a lot sooner than would have been the case if you had only just shut the phuck up and emptied your pockets as ordered.

By there fruit ye shall know them. Am not surprised.

Exactly what happened to a friend of mine in Akure. Armed robbers came to their house and instead of her to keep calm and cooperate with the robbers throughout their operation, she stood up and started speaking in tongues........this angered them and those damned robbers did not hesitate to leave 3 bullets in her head (she died instantly).
Pls lets learn to do the right thing at the right time.,..,.

Benin is gradually descending into a city where people can no longer feel safe in their homes. Kidnapping is now a daily event that no longer make the local news unless it's a high profile person that is kidnapped. I feel sad for that once beautiful and orderly state, and i also feel a measure of sadness for the unfortunate pastor's family.
The other sad thing is that many of these so called Men of God that people deify and pay tithe to are only a little worse than your average greedy narcissistic womanizing lying thug of the street that you detest so much. If the pastor had succeeded in pleading for his life by giving the gunmen whatever it was that they came for (assuming a bargain could have been struck in the first place). The next day in church would have been one of great testimony of fantastic tales of power and courage. He would have told the congregation of how the Holy Spirit shielded him from the hail storm of bullets the armed men unleashed on him. How when he shouted in Jesus Name, they became consumed with fright and confusion, and began begging for his forgiveness.

Here is one criminal that should be arrested.
He is not a Criminal. It is not Faith to be shouting Jesus,it is common sense to keep your Faith silent at that time.

Old Bendel state used to be home of oil and crime. When the state was splited in2 two, Delta went with the oil leaving Edo state wt the crime.. Even Oshiomole is a criminal. That wx evidenced in he LG polls he conducted....

You can imagine Nigerian Police. That is their life style, they came and left without doing anything. They cannot respond to a place where there is no money to get.

Thanks a lot. Even Christ applied this principle during his arrest by roman soldiers in the garden of gethsemane about 2000 years ago. He was calm and obedient to the soldiers urging his disciples to cease being violent to avoid risk of being slaughtered by the roman legions.

And what is the loss when dying with a witness, that of Christ. What is so important or desirable in this world anyway. To share it with such vile creatures. I think not.
