A  referendum  is been proposed by the ruling Scottish National Party to determine the faith of the union. Strong indication suggest that Scotland might pull out of United Kingdom. Historically , Scottish people don't view themselves  as part of the union, they ve always look toward Irish for inspiration, with whom they share strong cultural link.

There is no need for them to up arm since they are going to express their view through the ballot box.  The situation with Nigeria is very different, moreover the present prime minister of Britain is a Scottish.

The statement from mend seems to be nothing more than a public relation exercise, to counter Britain offer of support for the Federal Government.

I hope it is true. Now what will Britain do about this? Bout time they realize that people have the right to self-determination.

i hope the war hawks calling for the nigerian government to bombard and clear the niger delta creeks are reading this,whoever starts a war can never know where it ll end or who will get involved, let them go on and bomb the creeks and shouldnt be suprised if a coalition of terrorists from around the world and illegal militias come to their aids,remember people like the tatcher son who are professional mercenaries are still looking for customers

Far from the truth. there is no millitant group Aberdeen or even in scotland, those thugs(MEND) are just seeking relevance

Prime-Minister who elected him by the way is liasing with the President of Nigeria to launch military action on MEND and their cohort, whilst on the other hand the ruling Scottish Party are liasing with MEND to offer support in case of incasity
