State Security Service (SSS): Domestic intelligence (within Nigeria).

National Intelligence Agency (NIA): External intelligence (outside Nigeria)

Defence Intelligence Agency (comprised of DMI, DNI, DAI): military intelligence.

The SSS is supervised by the office of the National Security Adviser, while the NIA is supervised by the Foreign Affairs Ministry.

Wrong. The NIA is supervised by the Office of the NSA and recieves it's funding from there, not the Foreign service. It is also a member of the Joint Intelligence Board were intelligence is collated and analysed before being forwarded via the NSA to the National Security Council. The ministry of foreign affairs is basically used as a cover.
