Early this year I played against these boys in Calabar in a friendly match which we trailed by 9-3 and I must say this is the first time I'm seeing a Nigerian under 17 very young. I've heard about the nff u13 and u15 teams like 2 years ago. there was even the coca cola national u15 team that won an international tourney last year. players like chidera ezeh, chigozie obasi, iheanacho, awoniyi were chosen from these teams.
mind you, no member of this team had a record as a registered player in an npl team which was not the case in past u17 teams. even Stanley 'little messi' okoro was registered as a player of heartland fc.
