I've always believed that all these fancy stuff state gov'ts buy for the police (like vehicles and walkie-talkies) is just papering over the cracks, or spraying perfume on a corpse! There needs to be a complete overhaul of the Nigerian Police, as the one we have now is not fit for purpose!......all they're good at is demanding for egunje, filling their beer bellies with hot pepper soup, sleeping under the shed, and targeting/framing poor innocent individuals that have the misfortune of falling into their trap! I heard this story in the afternoon from an eye witness, he mentioned mbanugo after Eso bus stop which i mistook for Obianodo. Anyway, enugu was a long time for me.
