Please help me, my laptop c an't recognize any kind of disc, be it DVD or software installation disc. This sucks!! please help me.

I assume that you might have missing DVD/CD-ROM driver installed your laptop.

Following the instruction whether should CD-ROM driver missing or not at below:

Is your DVD/CD-ROM driver DISABLED? If you do not know if your DVD/CD-ROM driver DISABLED, then check on clicking below:

1.) START BUTTON

2.) CONTROL PANEL

3.) SYSTEM icon

4.) HARDWARE TAB to select DEVICE MANAGER, wait it prompt opening new windows

5.) Scroll down you will see to click '+' DVD/CD-ROM drives

6.) If you have YELLOW EXCLAMATION MARK on DVD/CD-ROM drives section (the brand name of CD-ROM drive), then it means you have MISSING DVD/CD-ROM driver.

All you need is to insert your Windows XP CD or DVD/CD-ROM driver CD adding 'HARDWARE' installing its driver or check out the DVD/CD-ROM brand name(manufacturer) site obtaining free download driver.
