Road of fate

Hopes are dashed to smithereens,
The blind men are on a futile chase,
Pittance are given to workers,yet they carve a smile on their face.

wishes of a country stepped upon by wicked apes,
grins and laughter fills the room of their sacred safes,
bowing irokos laugh at human greed,
soils are waiting to end our mischief.

now the sun is bright and the apes are gone,
safes are stolen by the one who knows all,
with a feathered ink i write an ode creed,
creed to be sung for our leaders in the seat of mischief.

Love in the fountain....on the wet grass of immortal land we roll,speaking in different languages....language of the holy one it is,quest for knowldege..driven by the soul,butters of hades...black as coal.




Death has a master..life it seems,living in the immortal world...,death wands cant reach me...,death of a sailor..silence of the sea..,fishes braid dreadlock...oh hw sweet it would be,,,,crying in the fountain,flows into d stream..stream of badluck...for my tears glow in it.

Destructible end


An end with an endless trail,
flowing through the nile as a timeless grail,
Gray hairs of wisdom flock through our endless soils,
mourns and tears wet the corpse of our ancestors.


Christ has been sent to us,
To create an end without an endless grief.
Yet we strive against him with our full fledged sword,
Signing our signatures for a destructible end.

The wind of change


our fields are empty...thousand sands found all around,
our women backs are bare..babies fear to abound,
destruction visits our village...evil in the air sings aloud,
yet we have to bear..fighting for our distress land.


The gods are angry..we can hear their voice blaring,
with every kolanut broken...our land is healing,
the cows are grazing...our children playing,
our land was aching because we failed to perform our yearly chanting(rituals).

ABORTION

THe day has come,my very self will be crushed.
Time and pleasure brought me...the doctor tool destroys me.
With each passing second i wailed...waiting to be gotten rid of like a filthy garbage.


now the time is here...the greedy doctor has been paid,
with his tool coming...i shrinked with fear,waiting for the approaching pain.
crushing my skull...i cursed that faithful day.
A day i pray not to see again.

christmas with grandma.


Red flicky lights found on every street,
little kids gather each with a piece of steak,
truck load of goats..all we hear is bleat,
tucking us in our little bed ...we found it hard to sleep.

dawn is here...christmas eve is gone,
then the knock came...grandma is at the door,
little kids gather ...each giving her a hug,
with swollen eyes she reciprocated our love,

now its time for story...grandma gave each of us a gift,
how i sang in my mind...a song called perfect bliss,
with nodding heads...we began to grieve,
A story of a man who died on christmas day without eating beef.

All of a sudden we noticed tears in her eyes,
each hitting the ground...gently like a drizzling tap,
with our little hands we gave her a pat,
then it dawned on us why grandma cried.

for on the spot she sat,...was where granpa last christmas....breathed his last.

That is my christmas poem,though not my usual way of writing...i just decided to give it a try.

Awesome..... for the Christmas poem,I'm glad u implored a new style of writing.... kip up wit it cos its da hook. the ryhmes are a.b.b.a.c.b.a.a.b..the imagery is clear and you write in hyperbolic way.Good it is. the first stanza has five lines which is limerick.the second stanza has 4 lines which is quatrain.the third stanza has 7 lines which is 1 quatrain and 1 tercet.The fourth stanza has 5 lines which is didac.the last stanza has only 2 lines which is an elegy. yeah,its an ambiguous poem...the apes represents corrupt politicians,nd the statement..the sun is bright..means a new era where the corrupt politicians terms are over.
