That's the issue with COC, UI has a particular number of slots for every dept that they must not exceed. So if the original number of people that picked a course and passed are not enough to fill the slot, they will pick the highest scores from those that did COC and applied to that course. Hope you get it? So it depends on the available number of slots, those that passed, and the scores of the people that picked a course for the COC. So it's possible to do COC and still not gain admission.

oluafolabi: 1) Yes I'm a medical student. 2) It's all about risk. But if you can't risk it, I'd advise you to do COC and pick mathematics. I have a friend that crossed from maths to petroleum engineering 3) The COC should commence soon, I think. 4) Those that do COC, their names will probably come out in the 2nd list. 5) I have answered that in (2). 6) I'm not so sure about that.

But den, there's no such thing as luck(according to dat young tailor) in admission. If a candidate dat scored 63 against a cut-off of 65, saw her name on d list, u call dat luck? So jamb officials were drunk wen they compiled d list and she was lucky they accidentally put her name shey? Hmm.

The only course I'm sure of that crossed to pharmacy last year was Biochemistry. I'm not so sure about chemistry. Lol, Statistics is a No! No! Errrm, UI doesn't offer Industrial chemistry directly, you'd have to get to 200 level to split to chem/ind.chem.
