@ nateevs, Can u tell me any team where this kind of problem doesn't happen? How many times have i dissed Fergie over his team selection especially against Boro and Blackburn recently!!!! Fergie played Giggs in an away match knowing fully well he doesn't have his prefered choice in the defence(whats the sense in that?) The problem is . . . . .Managers try to make everyone happy. They gast to keep rotating. . . . Look at Liverpool and Man Utd. . . . .The midfield and defence keeps changing to accomodate other players too. When u have a large squad, some players are bound to complain or grumble. . . .Its part of the game. If Chelsea were in United's shoes. . . .i doubt most of those players would complain. @ Nazzyon, Irrespective of what happens to Chelsea this season, Grant and his team should win the premiership manager of the season/ team of the season. Under-estimated from the very beginning. . . . .some Chelsea fans even boo him on the pitch. Injury to players throughout the season. . . . .something Jose would have complained to FIFA about. |

If Chelsea fans are complaining about Coach. What were Newcastle United fans doing? They were praising both the players and Coach even when they were loosing matches. How many matches did Chelsea lost under Avram Grant? |

i'm a die hard fan. i hate 2 say it but i never liked grant cos he coaches based on error n trial. just see his subs, very unprofessional; indeed hilarious! he is our greatest problem. our match 2day was pure luck. mac,joe cole n lampard fumbled. cech as tried his best, as usual our messaih! d day grant is fired 'll mark our triumph. |
Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by nazzyon(m): 11:47pm On Apr 22, 2008 |
Dr lamin: If Grant does not do that where do you think Chelsea will be now? Arsenal as an example. Wenger maintained the same set of people in most of his matches look at where he ended. Struggling to be 3rd position on the league table, No FA Cup, No Carling Cup, No Championsleague. If you don't appreciate what you have. Do you know how other coaches will perform after Grant is ejected? |

If Super Franky is asking for £180k a week, it shouldnt be anybody's worry. Afterall Sheva is earning £130k Lamps is English and he must enjoy English price. We all know in a proper market, no English player should earn £70k a week |

hmmm what a match that was.My heart was almost jumping out.Until the last minute that The God Of Chelsea saved Us.I ve always said God Supports the Blues that is why he painted the Sky Blue, and made the ocean blue as well. Riise is my man of the match.lHe saved us.lol. Bt lets face it the whole team (i.e. Chelsea) played an awful game in the second half.Even First Half wasnt that fantastic. Lampard shouldnt ve played the game,he wasnt in the match, malouda dnt know w@ to say about this guy,he is very wasteful, Drogba was very silent i laff when someone here said they didnt feed drogba. Please watch the match the again and see the lovely long balls they gave him and he wasted,he also prefered to dive instead of struggling to score.Joe cole too wasnt all that 2day,bt i wouldnt prefered him on the pitch still instead of malouda, because he can always create a moment of inspiration. Ballack to mean was ok,he was the only one keeping that midfield a little bit alive.see what happened when Grant removed him for anelka.i wonder who He wanted to supply anelka wit Balls, He should ve removed Lampard instead( i know sum lampard fans ll disagree, bt lets face he is good bt this match he wasnt just in it) Makalele no comments 4 him,Bt grant should beta bring mikel back. Cech, Excellent.see the gerald shot he stopped with just one hand.Cech Baba. Overall Our performance was below average.I thank God o for Riise again We should beta step your game in stanford Bridge. I remain a Bluesfan till Adebayor becomes world best player.lol Up Blues |

@ Nazzyon, Grant is this n that and yet he has done what Jose failed to do. Jose never scored a single goal in Anfield in a Champions League tie. . . . . Grant was astute enuff to bring in Kalou(who gave a virtuoso performance). His peach cross caused all problems for Riise and Reina. Anelka was waiting to pounce. . . 2 of Grant's subs!!!!! @ Akola. . . I disagree with u. Rio, Carrick, Hargreaves, Scholes and Rooney should all earn above 100k pounds. What are u talking about? Name any central defender better than Rio in Europe and u might win $1000. |

Jackal.: Point of Correction Grant didnt score in hanfield it was an own goal.liverpool scored.lol. Grant Substitution didnt change the game,in fact it weakened our attack ,we had two strikers right ,but who was feeding them, yes i can okay Kalou inclusion bt by removing Ballack, Grant disrupted the attack as Ballack was keeping the midfield a lil bit lively and didnt u notice that after that substitution liverpool kept presseing forward and mounting more pressure as there was more room for them to operate in the midfield. the goal was just an unnecsary panick from riise and not as a result of any outstanding peach cross.Bt i thank God for the mistake. |

@ Nazzyon, It just tells u the difference between REAL fans and PLASTIC fans. . . . Since Roman's takeover. . . . .Chelsea have won the EPL twice, came 2nd in the premiership TWICE. Mos def'ly. . . . they will surely come 1st or 2nd this season. . . . In Europe, this will be their 3rd Semi-final ticket in just 5 years. . . . .never mind FA Cup and Carling Cup achievements. Put this record against any team in the world and u will understand Chelskites don't know what they have got in Roman Abrahamovic. All blue-shirt wearing fans should be worshipping the RUSSIAN. @ femikay149, That wasn't a peach cross? If it was few inches closer to the goal, Reina woulda saved it and the game woulda ended 1-0 to Liverpool. What makes the cross peach was where and how it landed. . . . .Riise was caught in 2 minds. . . .Such was the quality of the cross. You say it's luck. . . . but people make their luck. . . .Would Chelsea have scored if Kalou's cross had ended over the bar? THINK, fella!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

I pitied Riise as he lay on the ground cying, the same way the whole Liverpool team will be crying at Stamford bridge in two weeks time. |

Did you know that RIISE's goal is amongst the best goal if not of all time, may be this season? Just take a look at where he placed the ball. |

Chelsea are prepared to sell Didier Drogba to Inter, providing that teenage sensation Mario Balotelli is included in part exchange. Chelsea striker Drogba has been strongly linked with a transfer away from Stamford Bridge for several months now, and he is widely expected to move on to pastures new in the summer. Inter are believed to be extremely interested in signing the Ivorian, particularly if his former boss at Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, takes over the reigns at San Siro from Roberto Mancini. According to Tuttosport Chelsea are prepared to sell the 30-year-old to the Nerazzuri, but only if wonderkid Mario Balotelli is included in an exchange deal. Balotelli is widely regarded as one of Italy’s most promising young talents, and the 17-year-old has burst onto the scene this season, recently scoring in consecutive games in Serie A against Atalanta and Fiorentina. Two Chelsea scouts travelled to Italy several weeks ago to watch him in action for Inter’s youth team, and were left very impressed. Inter are unlikely to consider releasing Balotelli, however this viewpoint could change if he refuses a new contract offer until 2013. Balotelli’s life story is a very interesting one. He was born in Palermo to Ghanaian immigrants, but at the age of just three a court ruling entrusted him to the Balotelli family who lived in Brescia. http://www.goal.com/en/Articolo.aspx?ContenutoId=669735

Nateevs, Ibime Lets wait till the end of the season to discuss Lampard or the position of any other player. Lampard's overall statistics always cover for his very few errors. I liked the tactics yesterday but not the mentality and technique. I don't think the players have been mentally ready for big challenges this season. It may be due to the replacement of JM. I want to see them come together and show that strong mental spirit on the pitch. Now we need it more than ever. Our technique was questionable. We did not hold on to possession except for the first 15 minutes of the game and later on when we had Kalou in the game. I have to say I was both impressed with Kalou and the enviable luck of Grant. Grant is indeed under the Jewish blessings of Abraham, well save for our few failures in the FA Cup, Carling Cup and some other matches we've thrown away. I do not want to talk about Grant at this time either. I'd like to wait till the end of the season. I hope we take full advantage of SB on both Man Utd and Liverpool. For the weekend's game we would have a problem at RB. Did you notice how Babel was a continual threat? Ferreira could not contain him. Ronaldo would make mince meat out of such a performance. We need some one agile to go with Ronaldo. I would have preferred Obi in the midfield to Maka but the rate at which he concedes freekicks and gets cautioned or sent off by making some careless tackles is a cause of concern. Lets see how Man Utd play today. I'm guessing counter attacking technique would be used for Barca's worn out and tired defensive legs |

Up Chelsea. My worry is the depleting form of Claude Makalele. Lampard is not too fit yesterday. Mikel Obi is better palyer in matches leke yesterday to Makalele. Our next match to Unaited is amust win to go tops possibly, head to head rule. |

Funny stuff happens in the CL First Brendtner was 'defending' the goal for 'Pool against arsenal at the Emirates and now Riise scoring for the Chavs at Anfield. Guess we are goint to see lots more |

I knew chelsea's gonna get something special, and they did. Go Blues, Waiting for FC. B in the final. Credits to Malouda and Cech not forgeting Salomon Kalou |
Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Ibime(m): 3:09pm On Apr 23, 2008 |
@ Somze, Grant certainly has the blessings of Abraham. His name is even Abraham. Let us hope he can win us the CL this season . . . . I still want him to be sacked sha . . . . . but I also believe we will be blessed by Gods promise to Israel, bestowed upon us through Avram Grant. Also, we cannot apportion any blame the coach yesterday. Even our finest JM could not achieve anything up there. Babel was a worry yesterday. Benitez should have kept him on. Kalou did his thing yesterday. Everybody knows he can dribble - I just wish he would stop dribbling in our own half sometimes. I also wish he would straighten his leg . . . . it is like he doesn't know how to aim . . . . . . be it a shot, a cross or a pass. I personally didn't see much problem in Makas performance. I know he gave the ball away a few times, but he was the only midfielder we had who was willing to get on the ball and spend time on it. The others didn't show for him when he had the ball so he gave it away a few times. I think Ballack and Lampard were seriously hiding last night. They were scared. |
Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by Jackal1(m): 3:22pm On Apr 23, 2008 |
Makalele's wealth of experience sets him apart. There was nuthing he could have done to stop Kuyt scoring last night when Lampard goofed at the edge of the box. Chelsea fans should be happy they have such a calm player in their midst. . . Look at the way he withdrew his legs in the last second when he was going for the challenge to stop Kuyt. . . . That coulda easily been a penalty and a red card but Makalele didnt get carried away. That was class and composure on his part. |

Ibime I don't think Grant should be blamed at all. We got a point and that is all that matters. We just have to maintain our ever present record at SB. We are well on our way to our first CL if things go well; even heaven wants us there. |

Somze, i don't know what game u were watching last night but FRANKIE LAMPS WAS CRAP ALL THROUGH THE GAME !!!!!!!!! the dude had no bizznizz playing yesterday, much less, full time lest i forget; the earlier we do away with drogba the better for us! that guy is wasted! how can a grown a$$ man like him derive joy from rolling on the ground all the time. i lost count trying to figure out how many attacks drogba killed off with his antics ! jackal, Grant is an idiot ! and he's just plain lucky ! what sensible coach will bring in a fit anelka and the 86th minute of a game judging by there performances last night, malouda should've left the pitch first, followed by lamps !! tell me that's genius on grant's side why did he buy anelka in the first place ?? to get 4 mins of game play on each game ? there was absolutely no reason for us to go defensive at ainfield ! |
Re: Chelsea Fans: Identify Yourselves Here (Old) by somze(f): 5:23pm On Apr 23, 2008 |
I have never argued about about Lamps performance in that match or even his role in the goal conceded . . . I only pointed out that Makalele's irresponsibility caused us that goal. If makalele had not jumped or mistimed his jump, he would have got that ball or at least blocked Kuyt. How many through balls did Drogba get? NONE. How many clear cut chances? NONE Torres who by the way wasn't himself was fed much more than Drogba. I don't want to argue about player's performances in that game. Grant is lucky and I have no problem with luck, so far as it takes us to the final. |
