Fab fouled Babel alright outside the area, Kolo never touched him, if anything he tried to get out of his way but in both legs we didn't get the major decisions end off, thats all stale gist anyway, the game's all said an done.
The semis should be interesting, me thinks its time for Chelsea to get Liverpool back but with the Baron in charge and Essien missing the first leg its hard to see Chelsea outfoxing Liverpool, especially in that mad house Anfield

Anyways people, its been a funny 2 weeks.

I have been away from my station for the past 2 weeks State trotting across the country that is Nigeria, wonderful yet tiring.

In the past 2 weeks alot has been happening in the world of footie, specifically as concerns my beloved club, ARSENAL FC

So with a month to go till the end of the footie season where do we stand Well it seems we blew our chance for ay silverware last night, as only a miracle will deliver us the Prem.

And following the way decisions have been going against us, coupled with the failings of the team, i don't expect much/hold much hope.

Observations on last night's game.

1. If that was a pen, then how come the one against Hleb wasn't given I guess that was a clear case of "SH@T HAPPENS" UEFA Style. .

Usually these kind of stuff even themselves out, but it usually is applicable in a league situation, not a cup game where the stakes are so high, and some decisions can make or break you. This one broke us.

2. Congrats to Liverpool, they got it right over the 2 legs, decisions or no decisions.

That match was a CLASSIC We gone the rough end of it, but i raise my hands up for both teams, they wet for it, and the best team won

3. Why does Arsene continue to play that MOFO Eboue why oh why must we be put through minutes of watching that guy donning an Arsenal jersey

4. I have no other complaints, we made defensive errors, of that there is no doubt, but like i keep saying, Cup games can go either way, some refs would have not giventhat pen, and the game would have been ours, but it wasn't, we live with it.

The boys played their hearts out (some more than others ). I can't ask for more. Well i can, but what difference will it make.

Players of note from both teams.

1. Torres   PURE CLASS.
2.  Babel   Showed a calm head for the fourth goal (but we all know that wasn't a pen ).
3. Sklittel   PURE CLASS
4. Hypia   Class.
5. Crouch   PURE CLASS Why Benitez doesn't trust in this guy, io will never know.
6. Benitez   PURE CLASS Calmness personified.
7. Anfield   PURE CLASS I know the Scousers can be a bit rough, but their fans and stadium is out of this world.

1. Cesc   Class, i know you have been giving your all, so can't blame you for anything.
2. Flamini PURE CLASS When you went out, i knew we were done for (funny how no one noticed that Gerrard clipped Flamini Stevie seems to always commit those funny fouls, such like the ones Bergy loved to commit ).
3. Theo PURE CLASS Wenger please i don't care if he has some bad games, Theo deserves to start every game from now on. WHAT MORE DOES HE NEED TO DO What is Eboue doing that Theo isn't to get a start.
4. Wenger Apart from the inclusion of Eboue (and Diaby to an extent, although he did justify his inclusion), what more could you have done. Some players gave their all, and most times in the gave we outplayed the scousers to a standstill, but it wasn't meant to be.
5. Gunners PURE CLASS You traveling supporters, we raise our hats to you, you follow the team through thick and thin,i don't know how i would have reacted if i was at Anfield last night. YOU GUYS ARE WHAT MAKES US PROUD.

Arsenal is the most over-rated team in the league.When they beat AC Milan everybody was like,yes,we beat AC at the San Siro,we're good,bla bla. I said it that the AC Arsenal beat was a weak one.Of course no gunner agreed with me.Now lookie look Arsenal couldn't beat Liverpool at the Emirates,and got thrashed by Liverpool at Anfield. If you compare the Liverpool team of yesterday and the AC Milan Arsenal beat,its obvious there is a huge difference.Liverpool was way better than AC were that night.Proof that the ACM that got beat by Arsenal was a washed-up one.
My point,so much hype over a ridiculously easy victory back then.

Arsenal is full of tired legs.Fab is a very good player but the dude is plain tired.I don't even know what exactly are the problems of the defense,Senderos especially.And of course,Eboue the RB.Gallas too needs some help.Everybody knows RVP will need like 3 or 4 outings before he gets back in full form.And now with Flam out,Fab will have one heck of a job to do holding the midfield down.In my opinion,too much expectation from one tired boi.

Its not going to be pretty for Arsenal on sunday at OT,because with this team as defeated and steamless as it is now,United is just going to have a field day.Defeated because,what else is there to play for?They are out of every competition,save for the EPL,of which there is almost no hope of winning it.That race belongs to United and Chelsea.So what really have those boys got to play for?Nuthin,methinks. Yeah,they beat us last season,but whatever the reason or reasons were i don't know because i dint watch that match.So i'm not going to analyze what i don't know about.I'm only talking about this season.
Roma is a good team on a normal day.If they weren't,what are they doing in the semis of the UCL?Just too bad for them that they've lost their playmaker Totti,and United is a much better team.Even you will have to be biased not to admit that.I'm so sure that right now Roma can thrash Arsenal without too much struggle.
As for Wenger,why on earth shouldn't i blame him?
Why is he so stingy about spending good money on quality,experienced players?He could have had Ronaldo.Torres.And a few others.He let them all go because he was too stingy to spend money on a good long-term investment.Are you going to blame the players for that?

Why did Wenger let his old players go without a fight?Pires.Reyes.Vieira.Ashley.I didn't see him do much about their leaving.Those guys would have been an asset to the younger ones now in terms of helping them find their footing.Even Wenger admitted it that one of the reasons you guys lost yesterday was due to inexperience.Go figure.

Arsenal has the most predictable style of play in the league.All a good team has to do is crowd them in,give 'em no space to do their fancy passing thingy(tho it is nice) and they become helpless.Even when there is no time any longer and long-range shots are in order,they still keep the shortish passes going like they have no idea what else to do.Whose fault is that?Isn't it the manager's instructions they follow?

Who keeps including error-prone players like Eboue and Senderos in the starting line-up?Keeping amazing players like Walcott benched till too late?Good old Wenger.

When Ade and Bendtner had personal problems,did Wenger see anything wrong with it?Nah.What kind of manager does that?

And not to mention all the silly excuses Wenger always has when his team messes up.

How can a team that whipped Man U 3-0 last season and go ahead to lift the trophy turn to a crappy team in 1 season.Not a fan of the diavolo but we shldnt be too hasty in writing them off.They have been called ttired legs for so long and they keep winning big trophies, That being said Arsenal treated their season as a 100m dash and not a marathon

Now that the last 100mtrs matter a lot, they cant find the energy to push on.The mental strenth is no longer there too. Which makes me as why did WHEN-GAY rest Walcott when he's fitter than most on the pitch havent not played as much. Fabregas is obviously tired.

Adeba-YUK is crap personified.Theres clear lack of depth too in the midfield area seeing as there are no alternatives to ROsicky and Hleb and Flamini.

Dont know if we saw the same game but that was a clear penalty to me

My verdict on the game.There are losses and there are LOSSES this was hard to stomach though how delight can turn to despair in a matter of seconds was on full display yesterday i am convinced more than ever that Wenger is our problem that man has ran out of ideas a team is only a fair reflection of its coach and year in year out we have seen this team throw away advantages too many times Liverpool shouldnt have gotten that third goal and please someone tell me how a sane coach would leave Walcott on the bench for a shitty Eboue i mean take a look at that second goal they just let that poor boy's effort go to waste.As for Toure that error was unpardonable it will take a winner in a UCL final for you to get back into my good books last nights gaffe has overwritten your goal against Villareal.The million pound question now is does Arsene know?

P.S:I think our 2nd goal should be given to Walcott his run was simply Maradonic

There really isn't anything to play for on sunday - except personal pride for the players.

This season is well and truly over. It was good while it lasted, but sadly not good enough.

AW tried a couple of experiments, but they backfired, coupled with the loss of form of one or two players, and the catastrophic injuries we've had with few quality replacements.

The problem here is not our supposedly 'predictable' mode of playing - so predictable to be a mere 6 points behind the top and in the Q/finals of the CL? I don't think so.

AW will rethink a few things this season - most especially the Eboue as a RM and gambling on Rozzi and RVP given their frequent injuries.

Diaby will NEVER be a good LM

He will be delighted at Ade, Cesc, Flamini, Clichy, Hleb and most of all Sagna for the way they have held their heads high.

King Kolo. . .what has happened to you? Did Zaky really ruin you that badly?

Gallas while excellent in some games, lost it at the most crucial of moments. . .he will need to look into his soul and reflect on what he didn't do.

What else needs to be said? Buy players? Some maybe, but in the end a few major mistakes coupled with some naivety was our undoing. So much to say, but most of it has been said already by astute gooners.

Had it been that STAM has not retired he would have been useful to build up your defense.

Your striking force is good enough but Adebayor is not the right striker for the club. Since you guys enjoy dribbling into Box before passing Babartov like patterm of play will be good.

Adebayor is like (our) Manchester United Manucho which is why he was able to score unexpected goals.
