Why do most nigerian women turn a poor man down when he comes to marry them but accepts the rich man before he even asks for their hand in marriage. Is it a "golddigger syndrome in them or what?

Many of these women come from poor families and need a rich man to bail them out. Others are just plain
golddiggers.

Bear in mind that you have to be able to take care of a woman if you plan on marrying her (you don't have to
be bill gates rich though)
