Man Utd was robbed again to lose 2 points no thanx to a visually-impaired referee. Ronaldo justified himself again as one of the best players with a goal with his own individual brilliance. Reading FC defended very well and their defence was disciplined. Thumbs up for 'em. There's light at the end of the tunnel as United is buckling up to claim the 1st spot. I was very happy today as Heinze made his 1st start in over 12 months for Man Utd. If we had Heinze against Arsenal then we wldn't have lost the match. GO MAN U GO MAN U GO. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by kitaun(m): 1:42am On Sep 24, 2006 |
Yeah its true dt d ref was visually impaired cos heinze shd have been red-carded |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by hucarson(m): 7:37am On Sep 24, 2006 |
@ Kitaun, That is a beef talk. Gabriel Heinze is being paid to defend and throw in the tackles and he did that superbly. He is non-arguably the best left full back in the Premiership and i missed him a lot. I hope to see Alan Smith as well cos these are the rocks of the Man Utd team. U can never doubt their passion for the club. |

hucarson: that my friend, is a very wrong statement, ashley cole is the best left full back in the premiership and the world, |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by hucarson(m): 8:16am On Sep 24, 2006 |
Ashley Cole compared to Heinze? U must be a dreamer. Tell me any defender that has been able to go past Heinze in his 2-3 seasons of playing in the Premiership? Ashley Cole my ass. I can name 5 different left-backs better than Ashley Cole in the Premiership. Gabriel Heinze was voted the best player in defence to have ever played for PSG in August 2005. He was voted the player of the season in his debut season by United fans in a list that had Rooney and Ronaldo. Ashley Cole is good going forward but defending is not his best talent. He is wack because i see tons of players making a mince-meal out of him everytime. Pennant did a collateral damage on him 7 days ago so wake up if u are still dreaming. Heinze is the man. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by lordimpaq(m): 8:31am On Sep 24, 2006 |
@huc i still maintain ashley cole is the best left back in the world, you are being sentimental because heinze is a manutd player, ash is good goiin forward but because players make a mince meal out of him doesn't mean he's not good, every attacker makes mince meal out of defenders even the best defenders are humiliated but that doesn't mean they are bad, come on, the world knows ashley cole is the best, |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by hucarson(m): 8:39am On Sep 24, 2006 |
Only the blind people in the world will say that. Make-shift defender, William Gallas is better than Ashley Cole. Gabriel Heinze is 1,000 times better than Ashley Cole and i am not saying this cos i am a United fan. He is one of the best Ferguson's signings in a decade. Tell me any incident where Gabby has been ridiculed before in any Premiership game and i will give u $200. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by lordimpaq(m): 8:43am On Sep 24, 2006 |
@huc save it huc, its pointless, if i were blind, then everybody else is blind and then u are the only one with sight ashley cole is better than henize, how can u say that, be real man, be real, BTW i don't need the 200$ |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by hucarson(m): 9:02am On Sep 24, 2006 |
Even die-hard gunners will tell u that Heinze is the best in the Premiership. No question about that. No manager in the world will choose Ashley Cole over Heinze in a football club. There's so much noise about Cole because he is a Brit. Cole will not even make the 1st team in France and Brazil. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by lordimpaq(m): 9:07am On Sep 24, 2006 |
hey, you tell me which die hard gunner says heinze is better than ashley cole, then i'll give u 200$, tell me who? who in the world would say heinze is better than ashley cole, ? you tell me, |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 10:33pm On Sep 24, 2006 |
Ashley Cole to make an Argentine team? Hell nahhhhhh. How can any straight-thinking football fan compare Ashley Cole to Ivan Heinze? Ashley Cole and Babayaro are in the same league. |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 10:37pm On Sep 25, 2006 |
@ huc the ref was visually impaired for MU not winning eh? what about the at least 2 bookable offences heinze made on seol? i guess that part didnt appear to you. MU wasn't good enough, arrogance cost them against reading, doing all the running 'believing' that reading wd capitulate, but it didnt happen. doff your hats to a determined performance by reading. @ lordi - I do not think Cole is the best LB in the world, thats just English hype, he's good no doubt, but the best? i think that title goes to 'luca Zambrotta - he plays both sides equally well. Heinze? - i don't really know, but from what i saw on saturday he's either very very rusty, or he's cannibal the 2nd. all the same i think cole is better than him at the least, |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 8:13am On Sep 26, 2006 |
@ debosky, If u don't know Gabriel Heinze's potentials and capabilities then do not come and post on Nairaland ever again. Heinze is the most determined left full-back in the Premiership. He can play as a centre-half as well and he marshalled Argentina's defence very well as a centre-half. I don't think there's anyone better than Gabby Heinze as a left back in Europe. Luca Zambrotta? Hell nah. He is not quite in the same level as Gabriel because Heinze is a no-nonsense defender. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 12:37am On Sep 27, 2006 |
Anutha classic performance from Man Utd. Beating Benfica at home was a relief to me after what 'em freaks did to United last season. United's first half was erratic/shambolic with everyone playing either out of position or lost the initiatives. Cristiano Ronaldo and Gabriel Heinze were the stars of the day. Saha was quiet throughout and only his classic goal saved his blemishes. Well done boys. C-ya this weekend in the Prem. @ debosky, U saw Heinze for 90 mins against Benfica. Whats ur comment on this dude now? Do u still wanna compare him to Ashley Cole or anyone in the Premiership? He frustrated the whole Benfica attack line and his influence won the game for United. The fear of Heinze is the beginning of safety. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 9:46am On Sep 27, 2006 |
saha's flash of brilliance saved us from benfica's impending embarrassment. we did not click in the first half. thank God they didn't find the net when they had the chance. good thing is , we have maximum 6 points and are toping the table |

how far people, i think scholes is in trouble. its about something he said to the referee after he was yellow carded against benfica. i think the referee is gay and he said something "anti-gay" (as reported on bbc) to the referee. the referee is yet to report him to the FA but if he does , scholes might be fined or God forbid, be suspended for a game or two. wats happening to manutd players why are we always caught up in issues like this. manutd is definitely not ready to be without scholes at this point in time. I pray the referee does not report the issue to the FA. ONE UNITED. |

Justkunmi, u know its Just BEEF! when u're GREAT people dont wanna see u Shine, but anyway when its crunch time we always come back right. After Tuesdays win believe me, we are up again. ONE UNITED. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 11:27am On Sep 28, 2006 |
just pray he's not suspended. we're playing newcastle this weekend. would really be a crunch tie. hope to see obafemi against neville. haven't watched any of obafemi's games for newcastle. so can't really ascertain how dangerous he'll be. but judging by the obafemi that i know, our backline would have their hands full but i know we are capable of stoppin any opposition, ONE UNITED. |

Now pls people be very careful But what do you "ONE UNITED" Chaps think of this http://blogs.guardian.co.uk/sport/2006/09/28/rooney_out_of_touch_and_feelin.html I have always felt there was something just not right with the lad, but decided not to mention, as you all are quick to read wrong meanings into my intentions . But as God would have it, many people are thinking on the same wave lenght. So please give your (unbiased) opinions. These were my exact words/contributions on the blog "loyika September 28, 2006 12:06 PM Lagos/nga Well well well!! So Wazza is Human after all, the way the Mancs make out, as if he just needs to step on the pitch and "WOW". Pleassssssssssssss. Every footballer has off periods in his life time, and Ron Boy is no different. He is young and still has a lot to learn, you can't just switch it on and off like a tap. You just have to know how to handle it and still make an impression on the field of play. But as a GOONER, i am chuffed!! Here's wishing Wazza more months in the Wilderness. (until the end of the season!?)" Hey why did they say i was in Lagos, don't they recognise PH in Blighty (Odili Whats happening with all the supposed PR you claimed to have done ) GOONER 89 |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 12:50pm On Sep 28, 2006 |
The FA contributed to the present state of Wayne Rooney. His 3 match ban was so unjust and this must have affected the young lad. Rooney was dynamic in the game against Fulham where he had numerous assists and he bagged 2 goals. I also think playing Wayne as a lone striker and stationing him on the left position is not helping matters. Injuries to Giggs and Park have also made it difficult for United to have so many options upfront. Rooney will play better when Giggs return to the team and this will also give room for Ronaldo to dart left and right. Wazza's best position is playing off an out and out striker(Louis Saha) @ Loyika, One goal is all Wazza needs to get up on his game. He is a gem and it wldn't take a match or 2 for him to start banging the goals in. Same thing has been said about Sheva this season but u should not put ur money in a bet that these lads won't produce stellar performances. These guys were born to play. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 1:14pm On Sep 28, 2006 |
@ justkunmi, The referee ain't gay. It's the gay community that got offended about Schole's remarks. The word gay is now becoming very offensive these days-its like a white man calling an African-American a NIGGA. Its just sick some people can gather themselves up and form a community of gays. The world is so sick. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 1:34pm On Sep 28, 2006 |
the world is so sick,,,, u can say that again. but how come the fans heard him call the ref a gay? was he that loud? dunno. |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 2:21pm On Sep 28, 2006 |
@ Justkunmi, The fans do not need to hear him loud. People now do lip-reading. Didn't u see Mikel Obi screaming "FUCKING HELL" at the referee when he copped a yellow card last night? U can always tell what these players say when u watch 'em closely. The game is getting too tight and sick as players are now being restricted to express themselves. All 'em gays community can rot in hell if they wanna tag along on that. They did the same thing to Eminem in 2000 blaming him for inciting hatred on homo-sexuals. |
