Jackal surprises me abt this issue of Wazza and the 3 match ban agreed it was unfair of the fa but will man utd wait 4 donkey years 2 pick his form and do d scoring? what we are saying is all these players are human and they must experience downtimes in their career and pls spare me that talk of giggsy not playing being the bane of the team's ineptitude, cos i always believed fergie's got a bunch of world class players and a strong plan B, abi una no dey give sir alex hin regular supply of chewing-gum again?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by nuggard(m): 9:28am On Sep 29, 2006
I think we should get Giuly and Hargreaves In December.
Anyone who has some Influence among United faithful and who thinks its worth it should pls be an advocate.

On every other Issue i've decided to sit on the fence, but then who cares?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by bami(m): 9:30am On Sep 29, 2006
the three match ban against rooney was instrumental and the english FA got what they wanted in their continued fight and witchhunting against fergie and his red devils

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 10:00am On Sep 29, 2006
@nuggard
is fergie still interested in hargreaves? the dude has broken a leg and would be out for a couple of months, wel, wont be surprised if fergie buys an injured player. he surprised everyone when he bought an injured nistelrooy. but if we land hargreaves, he wont play champions league football cos he's already cup-tied. and we need a fighter like him in europe.

@manutd fans
playin newcastle this weekend, wats ur take??
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 10:12am On Sep 29, 2006
Ferguson can get other players.
There are so many good midfielders around that are not playing in the Champions League.
Marcos Senna and Roman Riquelme are still up for grabs. The buy-out clause on Fernando Torres has been slashed so he can be bought now.

Back to the Prem,
United should nick the 3 points easily.
Ronaldo and Rooney to score the goals.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 10:35am On Sep 29, 2006
really really hope rooney gets his form back, damn the FA. those matches he missed were key. they just slowed down his run. newayz, he should catch up nd ove with the united train.

ronaldo on the other hand is having the form of his life. this is the best i've seen him play. he gest better every single match. i see the guy winning laurels for manutd
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Nobody: 11:04am On Sep 29, 2006
United fans i Hail!Appreciate all u guys are saying but i advise you all wake up and smell the coffee!It has been a time tested man u tradition to talk big talk of buying lots of star players and end up buying the trash of the world-while the stars go for practically free to mediocre clubsi.e. ronaldinho,mascherano,torres,etc .Look at carrick!Any other club would have bought him for 6 million but nooooooooo,united had to triple the price.Also Sir Alex is known to have an ego problem.He can't manage stars in his team and that's why there are none.The worst thing cristiano can do is score 18 goals and get a hair contract,you can be sure he'll be sold to real madrid(present dumping groung for our stars).
We love you sir alex but its time to roll.PLEASE!
P.s. look at the game against arsenal which we lost 1-0.No pivotal midfield figure tanslates to No stars to shine, no stars

ONE UNITED cheesy cheesy cheesy

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 12:20pm On Sep 29, 2006
@og2711
true talk. as much as fergie is a blessing, he's also like m anutd's greatest problem. i read on bbc that riquelme would av come to manutd but veron (remember him) advised him not to. he told riquelme that working with sir alex would be nice at the beginning but as he sees u as a threat to his ego, he axes you. see becks, stam, cantona.

i think this should be fergies's last season, c'mon, the guy has been manager for over 20years!!!!! the longest serving manager in the prem.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by CrazyMan(m): 12:28pm On Sep 29, 2006
@ justkunmi
i don't agree with you on that
justkunmi:

@og2711

i think this should be fergies's last season, c'mon, the guy has been manager for over 20years!!!!! the longest serving manager in the prem.

That's the main reason why he should remain chief coach of the club (Manu)
co's he's been there for more than 20 years.
no other coach would understand manu like fergie does ok?
we are all manu fans and we want the best for our club right?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by bolaoni(m): 1:03pm On Sep 29, 2006
Well, my take on this is that, I am not clamouring for a change in management, but a change in style by Fergie.

His attitude is what is pissing so many people off. I can't imagine the number of quality players he has chased away from the Club.

It is not that we don't have quality players remaining, but how many are they?

Attimes I used to have a nostalgic feeling about United of Old!

Strong in defence, United in Attack,

If we can't retain all our best players, then we should be able to get a good replacements!
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 1:32pm On Sep 29, 2006
@crazykid

if u think fergie should continue as manager cos he's been there for over 20years, then u are invariably saying he'll be manutd's manager till he dies!!!!. is that wat ur saying? i'm not taking anything away from fergie. he has served manutd with everythin he has. he really loves the club. but there is a certain time where u have to let go. we need a new approach to football in manutd. fergies's ways and views has always dominated they way we play football. let another person with something fresh come in and run things, aside from abrahamovich's wealth, moving from ranieri to mourinho was chelsea's greatest move. we need a revolution in manutd's in management. maybe a marcelo lippi or guus hiddink would turn things around for us.

@bolaoni

fergie's style cant change. it has been around and with us since God knows when. if u want a change in our approach to football, change the management,. in this case, fergie.

i'm not anti-fergie, i just want something fresh and new and ultimately, i want to see us win laurels again. its been long we won anything,
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by CrazyMan(m): 2:55pm On Sep 29, 2006
@ justkunmi
maybe you are right.
who knows a change in management might just
make us world's best over night
who knows. undecided undecided
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 3:26pm On Sep 29, 2006
ofcourse it cant be overnight. but not as long as fergies's 20year reign

gay or no gay. A player should be able to express himself (not like Zidanes "FINISH HIM" Matty)> I believe matty expressed himself vaberly but Zidane hate his word real hard. If a player can express himself, i think it will go a long way in improving Soccer. Why? if a player cant express himself for something the spectator,Commentator, and Fans think its right then that player will feel cheated. so i think its right for a player to express himself.

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by otolorin(m): 3:57pm On Oct 01, 2006
ha
1-nil at half time - good for manu
. . . but i dont tink wueva mentioned heinze as the bast leftback in prem should come back here and say it again. - evra put up a better play.
infact, he was as good as absent while he lasted on the field of play.

and what on earth was roeder thinking to have played that kinda formation against manu? - if 4-5-1 gad worked for arsenal - does it mean it will for the magpies? - Nope!
ameobi looks a shadow of a lone striker to me? - incompetent might just be adequate to describe him
i personally think 2 strikers will ahve made a better deal - martins inclusive on the frfontline.

i can only hope newcastle will comeback!
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Jackal(m): 8:56pm On Oct 01, 2006
Man Utd is back on top.
It feeels so good to be on top especially after some disappointing results lately.
Cristiano Ronaldo produced anutha stellar performance against the Geordies.
This boy gets better and better by the day and he was very unlucky to have hit the post on 3 occasions.
He mesmerised, dazzled and outshone all the players on the pitch today.

This was a match United could have won by an 8-goal margin and it beats me why United didn;t take it's chances.
Fletcher was brilliant and Edwin Van Der Sar should have brought his deck-chair as he was not troubled throughout.
Paul Scholes was anutha important figure while Carrick still needs to convince the OT fans he's worthy of a red shirt.
Ole Solskjaer wrapped everything up with 2 dodgy goals.
Bravo to the babyface assassin-Arsenal, are u watching?

@ otolorin,
U know nuthing about football to think Evra plays better than Gabby Heinze.
If u want to know why Heinze is the most-rated player? Go and watch Benfica V Man U(last week's UEFA champions league tie)
Man U became the 1st English team to win on a Portugese soil and this was to Heinze's credit.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Duwizzle(m): 10:23pm On Oct 01, 2006
Its really graet to see man utd play with such class as we always know they can.
Its great to See the Baby faced assassin getting a fortunate brace. Always knows how to be in the right place at the right time. Good work from Ronaldo as well.

@All

United play too well today o.

I am getting scared.

I still believe Chelsea's threat this season is United and Liverpool.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by nuggard(m): 8:57am On Oct 02, 2006
Yesterdays game was really interesting, beautiful football all the way 4 United. Great dribbling, heart stopping shots,Great saves.

Man I am almost convinced we can now play Barca.
Most worthy of commendation are Vidic, Ole, Gabby and Ronnie.
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by debosky(m): 12:13am On Oct 03, 2006
R u on weed? cuz u beat a shabby newcastle side u think u can play barca?

they'll rip your heart out, much worse than what Arsenal did to you at OT

all the same, Ronnie continues to show that he's the real prodigy, not that overhyped

tantrum throwing man-child called rooney. It seems the booing only makes him better!
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Nobody: 5:35am On Oct 03, 2006
rooney is a funny guy smiley
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by otolorin(m): 12:22pm On Oct 03, 2006
man utd played hard and well too no doubt abt that - but like i said earlier, the magpies put up a shabby formation against manutd, and again, ameobi shouldn't have bin lone.

@jackal,
i don tire for you o - if yu saw the match, and without a bias for heinz, you'll agree heinze's put up was a shadow of what you made of him here.
as of sat'day's match - evra was brilliant for you guys

u won tho' thats d important one!
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by Nobody: 3:18pm On Oct 03, 2006
Any one know what Man U is up to deez days?
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 5:34pm On Oct 03, 2006
is manutd hot or wat? we the bum? ronaldo is one of the best players i've seen of late. this young lad keeps gettin better by the day. he struck the woodwork 3 times. he sould av scored a couple of goals himself.
the only dull side of the match was rooney's "absence". i dunno wats wrong with he young man. he's been absent in recent matches. soemthing is definitely wrong. he was completely absent in the two goal scenes, the guy should sort out his issues asap, we need the man,

where is giggs?
