@Bola, 6 points over a 12 game stretch is nothing to rejoice 'bout, think of Europe and FA and pray that per chance we ur newly wedded okoiyawos would not be pitched so early with u again dis season cos if dat happens na ur waterloo be dat! |

Apart from away games at Liverpool and Chelsea,we still have away games at Man City and Everton. However ,I think we will come out winners at the end I am enjoying laughing at these deluded Arsenal fans.U have to admire their stuborness in the face of reality. i am enjoying the countdown to victory. ;DAfter our match with them, the more insane ones among them suggested that they will catch up with us. ;DThen it was 9 points, now its 17 points. Are u counting ?17 points This club has fallen from perennial premiership contenders to mere spectators of the title race.Their fans have been reduced to passing commentary on who they least like to win the title This is the requiem of a once great club Man Utd 4 life. |

4Play SHUT THE HELL UP!! You haven't won the league in 4 bloody years and you have the Audacity to talk, When Arsenal Won the league staying Unbeaten, How many points behind were Man United in 3rd, When Chelsea won it for the first time, how many points were Man United in 3rd (again). So now you are leading the table with 6 points and with 12 games to go, yet you all have started to pop Champange I can't wait till the end of the League where i will laugh my head off silly when Chelsea pips you to the title, and all you guys would be left with is just a case of "at least we are 2nd and leading Arsenal with 50 points ". That my dear scummy friends will be the highlight of your season (inconjuction with O shea's keeping performance ). Jk, Bola, Rikky, Manscum4laif, and the other missing in action Scummies; lets all wait to see who will have the last laugh. @ Kituan, my brother you see, its because of Jesters like 4play that i can never support Manscum to win the League , At least the Russians are nothing more than Irritants, and the Spuds are just a waste of space, they should try their hands at Ballet and leave football for professionals (that spurs team couldn't beat our own Flying Eagles, and they were rubbish ). @Loyika Ronaldo- Diver: Yes /No He is a good player by all standard. 15 goals, i beg leave the other side of him. @All United are riding high and i think they deserve the position, they are consistent and should be applauded for that. Where do they get all those goals for God sake? ##Their World(winning the premiership) is in their own hand, if they can win every match they will be winner, they dont need to rely on other teams.## ##In other word, if they think they are already the winner, they are in TROUBLE as the next 2 months will be jampacked with matches## |

'Los Submarinos' strikes again!!! All prospective divers please sign up at the Christiano Ronaldo Diver. . .I mean soccer academy. It works!! At least it keeps fooling dumb refs like the one at the Spuds on Sunday. Not that i pity the Hotshytes anyways, any arse kicking they get just serves to remind them that there is only 1 team in North London, and they don't play at the lane |

Akola is simply a more dispassionate supporter he hasn't given up, but doesn't have the need to cuss out the manure with the american owners, if barca offer 40 big ones, los submarinos may go, afterall that'll be a tidy profit - bought for 12 sold for 40 |

loyika: 1) Chelsea is my team anyday even if we are relagated. 2) I like United, Arsenal, Zamalek and probably every single football team because of the love for the beautiful game. 3) Chelsea's winning the title is not in my hand, i am in Ibadan eating pounded yam, i am not Mikel neither ami Frankie. I would like my team to win the every single competition starting from february 25th but i have to be realistic. 4) Fight for chelsea. Please clarify. debosky: Nairalanders that know me beyond here knew i am blue to the core. |

Nairaland is like naija. If you are away for one day fireworks would have exploded , name calling, name dropping, brothers fighting, hey wetin dey happen.Heard the other day that a 'fan'? stabbed another in the face after the Bolton/Goons match somewhere in Lagos Island?Lagos Island o!not London. The guy had to be operated upon at the Teaching Hospital !Wetin?Guys, this stuff is pure fun and don't ever lets forget that. 12 matches to go and the pressure is on.It is on everybody so let those that think Manu U will drop points and they won't just go to Yaba for a visit. However the pressure is more on Man U to stay on top but who does not like that kind of pressure. Spurs:All the dry fast of MUHC(Man U Haters Club) :Arsenal faction,Chelsea faction and those in the diaspora failed.1,2,3,4.That is a win that just keeps scaring the next opposition. Current standings: 45 GDOnly Chelsea and Ass'nall have scored more than 40 goals.Only Pool has conceeded less than us,17 to our 18.2 straight clean sheets. The league is not yet won but it sure feels nice to know we don't need favours from anyone to get by. Chelsea: JT and PC are now back so I guess all your problems are solved now right. Goons: Your first test after your premiership? title was a draw at Boro.We have moved on and won our last 2 each by 4 goals. That is the way to respond to slips. Not to dissipate energies disparaging rivals.A 12 point gap 2 weeks ago is now 17. game in hand?game in hand ko game in foot ni .Now you are consigned to praying that MU does not win or is it Chelsea you don't want to win .Pathetic lot @loyika,i do not condone cheating in football and i attach a previous post from me before our Benfica match late last year. Man U to lose today?! you wish.the Benfica game ended 3-1 The video evidence is inconclusive but i know that: 1.when you are running at top speed the slightest touch can bring you down . 2.when you are beaten in the box you do not go for the trailing leg, ask Nigeria U21 twice against Messi. 3.By the time he scores 20 this season you will get tired and maybe face whatever his new hairstyle is. REDS: 1.Ronaldo has won Baba's money 2.When will egbon Gary score his traditional 'goal'. 3.What a time for Wazza to locate his scoring boots. 4.Any news on Edwin 5.The most important game this season comes up this saturday against Charlton. We need to watch out for the guys involved in roforofo fight.I think we should prevail and still maintain our lead before the FA/UCL 6.Vote for John O'shea as first choice keeper against Lille!!!! Ha,Ha! Keep scoring, keep winning WAN UNITED! |

Manu4laif Follow up on "los Submarino"; Diving row reopens FA debate over retrospective punishment Alan Biggs Tuesday February 6, 2007 The Guardian The Football Association is moving to close the net on players suspected of cheating amid the latest diving controversy in the Premiership. Suspicion over Cristiano Ronaldo's degree of intent in winning a penalty for Manchester United at Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday has reopened the debate. Currently, however, it is only academic. The FA could not charge Ronaldo even if it wanted to - and yesterday sources at Soho Square studiously avoided offering a hypothetical judgment. But disciplinary chiefs do want to be in a position where they can consider whether such incidents warrant a retrospective action. They are planning to lobby for wider use of video evidence at a gathering next month of the International Football Association Board. The meeting in Manchester on March 3 is a platform for the FA to express its belief that charges should be allowed whether referees "see" offences or not. Currently, there is no scope for retrospective punishment if referees make an on-the-spot judgment, as Mark Clattenburg did at White Hart Lane. Manchester United went on to win 4-0 after the award of a penalty that involved little or no contact from Steed Malbranque, who appeared to pull out of a challenge as Ronaldo went to ground. But it is questionable whether Ronaldo would have been held to account. If he was guilty of deception then it was too clever even for conclusive analysis of slow-motion replays. One former referee, Kevin Lynch, said: "I'd give both Ronaldo and the referee the benefit of the doubt. It was a difficult call as to whether there was a dive or not." The Premier League may contact Tottenham after a replay of the controversial incident involving Ronaldo and Malbranque was shown at White Hart Lane during the interval of their defeat to United. Fans jeered during the break when a replay was shown, although Premier League rules state that replays of controversial moments must be avoided. http://football.guardian.co.uk/News_Story/0,,2006756,00.html About time too if you ask me, if he likes, he should score 1000 goals, the Whole World knows he's a "F@#king Diver", And there i was think Manu Eboue was "Divino takes the whole bakery". Lets see if he dives again against Brazil, Then Seep B would be forced to get FIFA involved Just imagine that; Divino could be the forebearer of a New campaign, "FOOTBALL SAYS NO TO DIVING" GOONER 89 |
Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by 4Play(m): 12:55pm On Feb 06, 2007 |
This sad collection of Arse supporters have been reduced to complaining about Ronaldo's diving. Is it Ronaldo's diving that kept u in 4th place? How does Ronaldo's diving explain the fact that u are languishing in 4th place with no part to play in the title race for the 3rd consecutive season. Did I hear u say transition? ;DTransition, the refuge of a drowning club For your info,Arsenal has been awarded more penalties in the league than Man Utd and more than Chelsea and Liverpool combined. We have scored 61 goals and Arse have scored 46 all due to Ronaldo's diving. If we had the benefit of all the penalties Arsenal have been awarded,we will be further ahead. If the situation was reversed,u will be in 5th place Your sorry state has led to u supporting Chelsea. What a pathetic lot. Please concentrate on your battle for 4th place.U are much closer in points to Wigan in 17th place than to Man Utd in 1st place Keep looking back to 3 years,we are looking forward to the title .If u want to look back anyway,we can compare trophy cabinets Bunch of sorry ass or should I say sorry Arse losers |

4play Lets talk you and i!! Now no where did i mention anything about United or Arsenal in my post, i even went as far as to say how disgusting Eboue's diving was (Go to the Arsenal thread and see how objective sports followers analyse their team ) I would suggest you take a leaf out of Manu4laif's books, and address the issue, or are you saying you Support Diving Notice that it is written that the "English FA", not "Loyika's FA". I guess you will now blame Arsenal again for this Read well then respond GOONER 89 |

so much can happen just stayin away from the sports board just for a day. . . . @loyika read ur links bout ronaldo. wat do i have to say?. . . . all i read was pure bollocks coming from scolari. the guy was talkin purely from his ass . check this out for a statement from someone supposedly renowned. Christiano Ronaldo needs to move somewhere where the team is an integral part of the club- not somewhere where the system is based o individual heroes or stars. so is united the team based on individual heroes?? which hero if i may ask? scholes? rooney? , giggs, saha?? or ronaldo himself? and is barca the team without individual heroes, just team work?? loyika, pls dont totally digest every single thing u read from websites and blogs, even if u are tempted to read them,. I'm not sayin ronaldo can't leave, but the above statement fromm scolari is appalling on ronaldo's dive did ronaldo dive? yes was the referee an idiot? very well, yes i'm not makin excuses for ronaldo, but the referee was the biggest jerk in the whole issue. Firstly, he dissallowed a clear united penalty when larsson was obviously brought down. After realising his mistake, he jumped at the slimmest chance of compensating united and blew for ronaldo's fall. If for anything, the refree should be fined or better still, banned for some games. Once again, i'm not makin any excuses for ronaldo PROUDLY UNITED |

JK Why insult Scolari Compare your Gaffer to him, who is more respected. What do i have to do with this . I am being fair here. Platini once made the same statement to Henry, And we didn't hide it!! (and you know what i think of that Plonker ) If Scolari said it, what am i not meant to believe That he said it Or that you would rather have me not believe that he said it!! What ever you think of Scolari is your own opinion, I only put up what he said, (both from BBC and Guardian, as i don't do Soccernet like you do, but i would bet his comments were also on that site as well) which was picked up by many mediums. You guys should stop being selective, i keep repeating; Do we wash over stuff on the Gunners thread We tackle every issue whether we agree on it or not, e.g Wengers selection, Henry's situation, Eboue's antics, The issue with the kids and so on. We don't sweep things under the table, whether the team is playing well or not!!! Or you just want this to be a "United are the greatest" Thread GOONER 89 |

Re: Manchester United Fan thread: Forever Reds by justkunmi(m): 4:52pm On Feb 06, 2007 |
pls dont lets start another argument with scolari vs fergie scolari had his reasons and i'm not against him for anything he says. my only grouse was the statement i pointed out. it wasn't supposed to come from someone like him. this ronaldo issue is really interesting thats why every paper would jump at the slightest mention of ronaldo and a transfer and make it headlines. like i said before to razorr in one of the threads, ronaldo is surely goin to get offers from huge clubs. infact., i'll be worried if he didn't. the fact of the matter is this, leaving united would be entirely his and a lil bit of fergie's decision. And if u read a link i posted sometime ago, fergie rubbished the slightest thought of selling him, moresore, the young man just signed a contract till 2010. till wenever ronaldo decides to leave, he remains a red devil and thats the most important thing at the moment PROUDLY UNITED |
