David retired to bed with a pillow on his chest. He had shown Felix the room he'd be staying and told him he'd be back soon to discuss with him. If it was for real, he'd just be a prisoner of love? What was Yvonne's father trying to do?

He must carry out the planned work well, he stood up and went back to the living room to meet Felix. He greeted him and brought out his phone and dialed Yvonne's mobile number.

Yvonne was already in her room also, undressing when she heard her phone ring. 'David.' She said quietly and picked up the call.


David's intention was to pretend before Felix as if he was really in love with Yvonne. "My love, how are you?" He glimpsed at Felix to know if he was really listening.

'My love?' Yvonne went emotional. 'Has he started loving me?' She asked herself and replied. "I'm fine honey."

"So have you left Dad's place?" David asked her.

"Yes love." Yvonne kept smiling. She never knew David was still pretending, she thought it was for real. She had forgotten she even left the P.A in the living room. She had forgotten there was a P.A somewhere that was to be spying. She had started falling in love.

"My love, I'll come and check on you in the office in the office tomorrow concerning the books." David said. There was no book anywhere, he was just trying to fabricate a discussion to disguise before Felix as if they've spoken well before then.

"Books?" Yvonne repeated.

"Alright, I love you." David concluded and smiled, still pretending.

"I really do too.." Yvonne grinned.

"Dream about me sweetheart..." David continued pretending.

"Likewise you." They both laughed and ended the call.

David was very smart, he was doing that just to disguise that he was a good guy to her before Felix but Yvonne thought it was for real.

"IS DAVID SERIOUS?" Yvonne jumped up happily. She rushed down to entertain Bunmi, the P.A.

    A WEEK LATER.

    DAVID had been pretending the way he had been doing before so that Felix the P.A wouldn't suspect anything. He did call Ann and his sister whenever he was alone but for Yvonne,  he'd make sure Felix was there.

    He had employed a new accountant and would grant Ann another month rest before bringing her back to work. Sometimes, he'd remember how she ran to take the bullet for him and would want to cry, so she still loved him that much?

    People are really funny, if she had died thay way she wouldn't wait to tell the story. But at least making her intentions known had made David love her like never again. "My father..." He muttered and stood on his feet at once.

    Since the day he had gone to his house and Ann was shot, he didn't remember him again. "Where's my Dad?" He asked the spirit.

     'In his house. He has been searching for all of you, his wife and children. He had came back to his senses now..'

     David smiled faintly and walked outside while the P.A folllwed him instantly. "Where are we going to, Sir?" He asked.

    "The land of the deads.." David replied and entered into the car.

    "Deads?" Felix took a step backward. 'Never trust anyone' was his slogan. How sure was he that David was just joking? Though David was already getting tired of having a P.A., it wasn't hs style.

    "Let's go now.." He called Felix, smiling.

    "Don't worry, you'll meet me in the office." Felix also laughed and entered into the office. No one would like to die.


"What if I tell you what I've been keeping from you?" The spirir said to David.

"Please tell me, don't keep anything away from me.." David was also serious.

"Your father is going to tell you a story, from that story you'll gey to know Yvonne is your blood. She's your sister.."

"Sis what?" David was shocked like never, he opened his eyes wide open woth surprise written all over him.

    David parked at the front of hos father's house and turned backward to check if anyone didn't follow him that time just like Ann did. He smiled and walked in.

    He met his father lying on the sofa, looking pale and sick. Immediately Adefemi saw his son, he rose up with his sickness and looked like he'd cry. "My son, I was charmed... I'm sorry.." He let out.

    "Dad, look at the way you are now, its been over three years now you've been in problem because of stubbornness. You never take advise! You are always adamant or should I say you were? Dad, sit down and explained the covenant between you amd Morenike to me.

     "How did you know we had a covenant?" He was surprised.

    "You've never believed the fact that I know and I see things people don't, you've always thought I was lying.."

    "Hmmn.. This was what happened years back.."

   Abolaji Adefemi was sitting in the restaurant when he saw a young beautiful lady that walked in. He thought on deserting the food for the lady but on second thought, he was hungry. The lady had no other place to sit likewise and went ahead beside Adefemi to sit down.

She was taking, beautiful and gorgeous. She greeted Adefemi. "How are you ma?" Adefemi grinned.

"I'm a young lady... I'm not a ma." The lady, Morenike grinned too.

"It doesn't matter.." Adefemi smiled again.

"It does." Morenike replied and stood up.

"Where are you off to?" Adefemi asked her.

Morenike smiled and adjusted her collar. "I want to get something to eat." She replied him.

Adefemi was already liking her, she was bold and beautiful. He remembered his wife that he left at home, Olajumoke, she'd always be after what to eat in the house. Olajumoke who had a boy of a year old, Ademide. Though things weren't going on smooth for the family but Adefemi was a tough man, he preferred eating outside and would get home to tell stories of his misfortune.

Olajumoke had sold many of her things to keep the family moving on but Adefemi wasn't concerned, he just did show little love.

Not quite long after, Morenike returned with a plate of food. "You are looking beautiful." Adefemi smiled to her.

"I'm really grateful." She smiled in return.

"I'm sorry but are you married?" Adefemi asked.

"No, I'm just engaged." She frowned a little.

"Engaged? But why the change of mood? Hope I've not asked a question ought not to be asked?"

"No, it's just that my parents are forcing me on this guy, I don't even like the guy."

"Really? I'm single, still searching." Adefemi grinned. He knew he had nothing much on him and the lady in question was a rich lady. Her appearance said it all.

"It's not true... How can a guy like you be single." She laughed.

"I'm serious."

"So it means the child should be older than I am?" David asked.

"No. I'm not even sure, it was the day she told me she was pregnant that your mother got to know she was carrying you also." He replied.

'What not happened after then? So Yvonne is really my sister?' David thought. "Dad, I'll be back, I want to check on someone.." David rushed outside. He needed to verify more from Olusola.
