The French were never going to defeat the Germans, they are not as tactically solid or invincible as they appeared in their group games. As for Germany, they've reached their World Cup ceiling, the semi-finals! That's where their tournaments usually ends. They play very well till the Semis, where for some reason, they just fall short.
