Some movies just tend to stick to memory regardless of how long its been; might be the sound track, storyline or perhaps the impressionable acting skills of the actor. Really, how deliciously amazing can a film be to give you all of these and more, just in one package- Awesome!

Sister Act is definitely one of those movies that’s totally got it; each time the film comes to mind, you probably find yourself singing or humming the theme song- “I will follow him…” in your head, as you recall the endless humorous scenes totally pulled off effortlessly by Whoopi Goldberg, the protagonist, complemented beautifully by the other cast members.

The plot of the movie revolves around a singer Deloris Van Carter (Whoopi Goldberg) who witnesses an employer being killed by her gangster boyfriend and from then on, Deloris becomes a murder target for her boyfriend.

However, in a bid to escape, Deloris lands in a convent- St. Katherine's Parish under the protective eye of Bill Nunn and is known as Sister Mary Clarence. Deloris’s ‘adventure’ in trying to blend, is one trip that is definitely guaranteed to give you many laughs; once she gets caught in a nearby bar and is chastised by Reverend Mother and put in the choir. She soon makes friends in the convent as she plays her new role to perfection.
