The Nire Prest And The Jet Ski I originally created a thread for the pictures that I took from the Lekki-Ikoyi Link Bridge in 2014, but it was washed away by the Nairaland data loss tsunami of 2014. This is an opportunity to post them again. I took these pictures on a holiday in January 2014. They show a guy on a jet ski chasing the Nire Prest. I posted the pictures somewhere on social media and a friend asked me, "When did you take those pictures"? I told him and he replied, "That's me on the jet ski"! SIMPLIFIED:The depth of field (blurry/sharp background) of your photo depends on the aperture size. Sadly I couldn't find any information online concerning your device's camera, other than there's a 5mp and 8mp variant. A larger aperture (eg smaller f-number... f/1.4) will isolate the foreground from the background by making the former sharp and the latter blurry. A smaller aperture (larger f-number eg f/32) will not be able to achieve this since it brings the full image in your frame into focus. I could be speaking Latin for all I know You could try getting as close as possible to your subject, and as far away as possible from the background of your image. See what it looks like when you're done. If you don't get the blur try using a photo app on your device to create an artificial one  |
