Bawss1: Vee's death was just ridiculous and poorly thought out by the writers. I mean you escape from prison through a secret tunnel and then decided to hitch a ride the rest of the way or what? And you don't think to stay away from the road or away from a vehicle that looks like one operated by the Department of Corrections? C'mon, who does that. Can we list our 5 favourite characters on the series (at least based on seasons 1& 2)? Here are mine: *Vee- Terrible, manipulative and cold-hearted woman, the perfect recipe to hate the character (if not careful sef, the actress ), but I'm a sucker for solid acting and memorable, superbly-written characters, irrespective of whether they are villains or protagonists. *Piper Chapman- Well, our main protagonist...what else can I say? And she really 'carried' Season 1. Also a bonus, the actress that played the character (Taylor Schilling) is beautiful. *Red- The antagonist we later had to root for when 'Madam' Vee came into the picture. I love me some red...and some russian accent.*Crazy eyes- Well, the name says it all. And the Nigeria-related lady that played this character (Uzo Aduba) is a supreme talent. I think this is the most heartbreaking character in the series, even with her few scenes. Also could be sometimes annoying (especially when 'used' by others). *Pennsatucky/Morello/Nicky/Poussay- This is a tie. Lol. |

Although she is a minor character Poussey is my favourite character. Chapman is caught up in all her white girl issues - I don't like her. (even though her surprise face is very funny) 1 Like |

sholay2011: While the Vee character was well done she didn't strike me as very memorable or outstanding for a villain/antagonist. Just a regular tv series meanie, no where near the greats like Joffery in Game of Thrones or Frank Underwood in House of Cards. |

Bawss1:Well, art is subjective. Vee was not the villain that would be 'all over your face'. Her actions truly dictate the kind of human being she is. Also, the portrayal was very realistic. The necessary subtlety was used to portray the character. The writing of the character, I also commend. The last time I felt 'what I felt seeing Vee' was when I saw Heath Ledger as Joker in 'The Dark Knight'. Now, that's an 'all over your face' villain. I was floored by the Vee character. |

My top 5: 1) George “Pornstache” Mendez Who else? This guy needs to be in more stuff. The guy just dominates Litchfield Prison like no one ever has. He deflowers who he wants, when he wants, and where he wants, and he is the king of one liners and of course his defense of the porntache: “No; Fvck, not gay. The stash is not for gays. It’s for fvckin’ men. It’s fvckin’ all beef. Fvckin’ cúnt-rammin’ awesome" It’s always memorable when Mendez says something. 2) Yvonne “Vee” Parker You know you did a good job with your character when everyone hates you and is glad to see you die (or injured?). That’s exactly what Vee does. She’s the only prisoner with no redeemable qualities. No soul, nothing to like. Just pure evil. But I love her. She has a certain villainous quality you just have to admire. 3) Suzanne “Crazy Eyes” Warren She might be the best actress on the show. She just sells this character to you so freaking well. She might seem like a nice, caring person sometimes, but make no doubt about – she will literally eat your face off in your sleep. 4) Lorna Morello She might be insane, but Lorna Morello just does it for me. Easily the hottest babe in Litchfield. Sure she’ll try to blow you up, leave prison, break into your house, take a bath in your fiancé’s wedding veil, and jump out of the window, but it would be totally be worth it. She’s got the most annoying voice you’ve ever heard but her character is extremely likable. Most of the women in this prison give you reason to dislike them at some point. But everyone likes Lorna. 5) Galina “Red” Resnikov At first you think that Red is some bad âss KGB agent who’s definitely killed at least 8 or 9 people. Turns out she’s just a nice, down to earth lady whose husband got caught up with Russian mobsters. She puts up a tough front to bullies like Mendez and Vee, but in the end she’s pretty peaceful. 2 Likes |

I thought this was Will Smith’s girlfriend from Fresh Prince of Belair for so long until I realized that that ladyis probably 50 years old by now. This girl grows on you. If you’ve ever watched The Wire she plays the exact same role that Bodie played. She’s the one person in the crew who isn’t manipulated by the flashy new head honcho. In The Wire that was Marlo, in OINB it’s Vee. Everyone roots for Poussey. Everyone. 1 Like |

Bawss1: Believe me, Vee is an entirely different kind of animal. Opportunistic, Manipulative, Vindictive, Cold hearted, Cold blooded, and homicidal. I just finished watching season 2! This movie is just sooo interesting! The characters are on point, the storyline is fresh(to me), its just soo cooool! Thank God I did not listen to people that were discouraging me from watching it! Going to look for season 3 tomorrow. |

let me talk about some characters - **Poussey - I just have mad love for her, the way she speaks, her body movement, her face.... and I also love the way she relates with taystee - so real. **Pennsatucky - this has to be one of the craziest character I've seen on TV She's a Bible-holding-terrorist. Her fight with piper really cooled her down in season 2.**Morello - her story is the biggest shock in the film. After telling everybody about her wedding plans, only to discover that she was suffering from delusion  **Vee - the 1st time I saw her, I knew she was bad news! She is such a manipulative biitch, what annoyed me most was that she prevented me from seeing more Poussey-Taystee friendship moments by tearing them apart! She died the best death ever! Kudos Rosa |

parrotibaba: The story is about women in a correction facility! the main story is about Piper Chapman(an ex-lesbian) who was sent to jail for pushing drugs with her ex-girlfriend! She was sent to jail like 10 years after the crime, so she had a boyfriend now! When she enters the prison, she meets her ex-girlfriend. there are also other interesting characters. It's very interesting, you won't regret watching it, besides there are many bad bad things |

Have you guys seen season 3? let's talk about it. Piper is too selfish and truly a narcissist...She was being gross ,Alex broke up with her and wanted them to be back somehow when she approached her..Piper said she was doing all good cause of her new lover Stella, she didn't know Stella had completed her time in prison and would be leaving soon. Back to Alex........the suspense is killing me....is she dead or alive? my fave scene in the season finale was the part the inmates went to play in the lake. it was fun seeing them free and having fun. |

I enjoyed season 1-3 but i was constantly looking for how Kasamu, the alleged nigerian drug baron senator is involved in the story ( i heard the series was inspired by his exploits). Alex easily the hottest, followed by Morello. |

Akanniade:Really?......i read online that it was inspired by one american named Piper Kerman(the real Piper) that was convicted for money laundering charges and that her experiences in prison provided the basis for Orange is the new black. |

Season 5 was awesome! Prison riot at its best! Taystee was the star of the season, but I'm really not happy with her, because i think she is at fault for how things went bad! Maybe it was because they were trying hard to appeal to our emotions by showing how broken Bailey was, No! That's not why I think he should be let free! He was just naive and untrained, if anybody should take the fall, it should be the system for employing him and not giving him adequate training! That aside, I like how they pushed Piper and Vause love drama to the periphery, this season wasn't about them, but they still tried to sneak some into the season! Freda Freda Freda Abeg I no fit shout! Surprise of the season! Maritza - Dayuum! I was in awe of her beauty throughout the season! That girl is pretty! I feel so bad for Danyara, she took the biggest fall, I see get getting a life sentence! The end was so saddening, almost shed a tear, maybe I did! You guys need to watch it! Can't wait for season 6, and I hope it ends there or maximum season 7! No let it go on, I can't imagine my TV life without these characters |
