Really? I'm from the North and i only hear Northerners speaking their own respective languages, with Hausa being the main one followed by Fulfulde, Ngas, Bade, Tiv, Kanuri, Bura, Ga'anda, Tera, Bolewa, Tangale, etc. Arabic is only spoken amongst the Shuwa Arab people.
