Nigerian politics : a field of misplaced priority.

"Mutation" is a concept found in the distant field of biological science, however, for the cause of this article, we shall explore its lessons in politics.

Like the normal law of biological inheritance, old political generations often impact, to a very great degree, its characteristics, traits and mannerisms upon the new ones.

Indeed, the present politicians of Nigeria are no exception of this unconscious transmutation that is bound to occur ineclutably.
But beyond this usuall transmogrifications, something else has occured in Nigerian politics, and that is called "mutation" .

Mutation in its simplest term means a situation in which there is the formation of a tatally different trait, characteristic and mannerism of an offspring. That is, a new generation having absolutely distinct qualities from the previous generation.

There have never been a time, in the history of our great Country, that is as corrupt as we are now.
There have never been a time,in the experience of our nation, that we have more poor and suffering people than we have now.
There have never been a time that we have more disease ravaged society and very poor health care system than we have now in our Country.
There have never been a time more disgracing and embarrassing to the honor of our Country and our people more than this time.
There have never been a time, in the history of our great Country and our good people as tumultuous, hopeless and heartbreaking as this time we are now.

These downward slope in our history is caused by the mutation in our politics.
We now have utterly irresponsible fellows parading themselves as leaders.
We now have morally bankrupt individuals who can go ahead embezzling the whole national treasury without the smallest feel of scruple, and yet parade themselves as "statemen".
Worst of all, we now have megalomaniacs and power-drunk fellows who give no damn, whether terrorists massacre our people everyday, whether our health sector is still at stone age, whether our roads are death trap, whether the people are jobless, died of hunger or live in abject poverty. They are concerned only with elections, reelections, power and sharing of Oil proceeds. And they can go to whatever length possible to achieve this misplaced prioties of theirs, even if such lengths will plunge the nation into another traumatic civil war.

Nonetheless, these mutated polìticians only fested and flourished because of the seeming fear, idleness or unenthusiasm for our politics by the good people in our society.

The truth is if we all ask for change instead of a bowl of rice, only then can we have chanege.
Men of honor often seek to change a bad society, but hopeless and miserable men seek to improve their conditions in it.

As one of the greatest three men that has ever lived, John Locke, said in his book tittled "treaties of government" that : the only thing necessary for evil men to take total control of the society is for the good men to do nothing.

There is never a time, such as now in the history of our country, that we need the good men to rise up and rescue our people and our beloved Country from these irresponsible "politicians".

It is far more dignified to die upon our feets than to live upon our kneels in an abnormal society.
