Danhumprey: Bats do suck human blood?Mammal blood.... Last I checked, we're mammals. But we ain't as dumb as say, cows that can get.sucked without knowing it. |

Tucees: On the contrary its quiet useful in keeping the eco system balanced! If bats were to go extinct humans may have a problem of too many insects and co to contend with. No animal is useless (except bedbugs IMO)every one of them snakes included have one thing or the other that makes our very existence comfortable and bearable.we still battle with insects ... them going extinct wouldnt make much difference. I just hate that animal. |

iwakolewa: THAT ANIMAL CALLED BAT SHOULD BE MADE EXTINCT.IT HAS GOT NO USE ; SUCKS BLOOD , SEES ONLY IN THE DARK , NOW TRANSMITS VIRUS ! ITS REALLY EVIL. Bats have their own contribution to our ecosystem. Its not wise to wish them extinction |

shadrach77: I counted 20 Ebola related topics currently featuring on the front page, including the two that have been added in the last one hour. Now we need to spread hope not fear. Okay, there is an outbreak but the continual reporting is an attempt by the west to paint Africa in a bad light. I can't remember them reporting vigourously when "bird flu" epidemic was spreading all around Europe. Let's be wise and desist from helping them in denigrating our continent Actually....I see the reporting about Ebola as a means of drawing attention to our poor public health system. Maybe it would force our governments to fix it. 2 Likes |

Danhumprey: Well, atleast there haven't been reported case of bats sucking human blood."Although rare, infection of humans by rabies from vampire bat bites has been documented; for example in 2010 four children in Peru died after being bitten. " www.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vampire_bat |

IMPORTANT MESSAGE FROM T.B. JOSHUA CONCERNING EBOLA: “The world at large is full of fear. People want to read about things in newspapers and watch things on the television that cause fear. There is another news, apart from Boko Haram, that is causing fear in Nigeria - Ebola. Ebola is not Nigeria's challenge. We should not be hasty in considering it a challenge. Our challenge is insecurity. It is a strange ailment. Imagine you carry an almond tree from Europe to Nigeria to plant it. It will not grow because of the weather. “That someone came from another country for an ECOWAS meeting and died of Ebola does not mean Nigeria is not safe. It is good to secure our nation, our environment but my concern is that we are going too far. It is affecting the image of the nation outside Nigeria. It is giving this nation a bad image, to the detriment of the name Nigeria. “To the extent we talk bad about Nigeria, to that same extent our name is destroyed. This is a country under repair because of what Boko Haram has done to the nation Nigeria. Don’t damage it more. This nation is safe. If there is any challenge, we have what it takes to surmount it. “All of this is propaganda. When a little thing happens, you exaggerate it because you are looking for funds. How much can the international community give to us that can redeem the name Nigeria we are soiling? A beggar always remains a beggar. Africa, stop begging – you have what it takes to solve your problem. “What is the meaning of African unity? The wound of an African is the wound of all Africans. The wound of one is the wound of all. A nation that stands to solve the problem of other nations will become successful. Successful people are problem solvers. “There is nothing bad in securing your nation using every proper means and educating your citizens. That does not mean you should use it to destroy the name of Nigeria as if it is here. It’s not! Protection and prevention – that should be our assignment in Nigeria.” #TBJoshua Read more here https://m./235677829891210?refid=18&__tn__=C am so sorry admin if my link is nt allowed 2 Likes |

Let's be wise and desist from helping them in denigrating our continent On the contrary I think proper information and sensitization on Ebola is what we need right now. You can't solve your problem when you lack adequate information about the problem. Frequent news and threads on the virus will make people to be cautious and not to down play the severity of the situation. Proper information will also reduce the spread of the virus.
