My dad was strict when we are still young. I remember how he used to flog us. He will raise us up with one hand in such a way you will be on d air while d flogging is going on. But b4 he flog us in an act, he must have warn us upto 3 times. My dad is a wonderful man. I love him. I score him 14/20. My mum is kind, humble, caring and industrious. I pray and wish to have such type of woman as my wife.

Very strict wen we wia tender, but dat changed a little while we grow.

Where do I start?

1. As soon as my siblings and I heard the sound of our father's car pulling up into the driveway, the fear of God would immediately overwhelm the whole house. We would start to fan and blow the TV and VCR because we did not want him to know that we had been watching movies for so long.

2. We almost never went outside, and woe betided any friend who unfortunately visited us.

3. Whenever he would call any of our names, our blood pressures would simultaneously rise.

4. When it came to beatings, my father was second to none. Full body assault behind closed doors. My father would beat the essence of life out of us.

5. He was a cold-a*s mean motherfu**er and I will never treat my children the way he treated us. Luckily, my mother made up for it in terms of overwhelming love. I give my father a 1/20.

Na my dad be the original Idi Amin, mine is fake abi na junior. That name was given to him by his friends for being a tough guy and a great disciplinarian too. I must say that if you have a father or mother who's not strict i.e not a disciplinarian but one who pampers/over pampers you because of available wealth, you have a parenting clueless parent. And in fact does not love you or wants d best for you. All adults were once youths and I've come to realised that more than 90% of adults nowadays have regrets of one or more things they failed to do or were not taught while being in their youthful stage. Ask a lady who lost her husband to a good cook because of her cooking cluelessness if she has any regret.
No good parent would want his/her children to go through wrong upbringing they probably went through.
Juvenile delinquency nd youthful exuberance are major attributes which any child/youth would naturally wants to display, but it's now the job of the parents to curb the excesses. The Bible says the child a father loves he corrects and that if you spare the rod you'll spoil the child.
The Bible also went further to say that no discipline looks good at the beginning but pays off in the long run.
Difficulties, troubles, afflictions etc are all challenges, they bring out the best in us.
Lets all learn the act of parenting before going into marriage, you learn to fight before going into battle.....
