Cufs: Alright thanks, I should be through with mine and submit on Wednesday or thursday. |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Mcjimmy(m): 8:49pm On Sep 29, 2014 |
Cufs: Babe see there is no crime in taking a bold step to make inquiry.. Sincerely I ave seen someone at the immigration office that has 6month left on his passport , he finished from a uni in Cyprus and wants to further in Canada. He explained to an officer why he wanted to renew and he filled some forms. We met at the immigration office the say day I applied for mine. Just go to the NIS and explain yourself. Pls don't be complacent about this the earlier you address this issue the better it serves you. |

PlayPays:My guy I wasn't talking about permit... I said VISA... If u travelling out of naija to canny for whatsoever ish u must have ur passport stamped with trv on it.... If u goin for 4yr degree course cic wud stamp ur passport with trv having 4yr validity... Now tell me how this wud b possible for someone having passport not up to dat date... Ain't wrong about anytin.. D best tin is to go renew his passport My cousin's app on June was refused on d ground of purpose of visit with all his gud sop, family ties and well packaged docs... With all dis factors there is high likelihood that he was refused on d ground of purpose of visit cos his passport wud expire April 2015 and he's going for UG prog Lastly I think NIS can renew passport wiv 9 months validity if u give dem reason for such |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Jaydenehis: 8:59pm On Sep 29, 2014 |
NIS can issue you a new passport with 9months validity. Go to your nearest state command or passport office. At the command where I work, they do so but charge a little extra. PlayPays: |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Jaydenehis: 9:05pm On Sep 29, 2014 |
They will do it if you give them a valid reason why you can't wait for the expiration date. They do it at my command but charge extra for it.every state has different policy and price that's the plain truth opsynusy: NIS won't do it for you until it's 6months to the expiry date, you can still use it if it's still valid for 10months |

Hi, Please,if you really need to get a new passport,go to the nearest command or passport office. As long as the validity ain't more than 12months,u get a new one with proof to convince them why u need a new one. Holmes007: |

Jaydenehis: Hi, Trust me, my friend did all the convincing she could when she wanted to apply in July, her passport was more than 9 months valid but wanted a 2yrs study visa. Her parents even called top officials for help but they all said the same thing; WRITE A LETTER! she had to go to Abuja to renew it. There is no need to stress the issue. The applicant should go to the nearest NIS around to make enquiries. 2 Likes |

Siga: ... Bros... Efiko can fail... If u miss classes and miss group work ... Absence can fail person...besides been an efiko... U need to be present at all presentations, group assignments, labs and all....Of course, efiko is an all round person. You would hardly see in efiko miss class or labs. The difference is the time they spend on course work and studying. They have a bigger picture in their memory. My Ghanaian friend in the UK won't spend the whole weekend doing assignment like some of us would do. He knows excel programming in and out like he designed MS office for microsoft coop. Through his part time security job, he financed his 2 masters degree and a PhD and came out tops in all his classes. But you hardly meet genius like him. it's all about knowing your capability. In my earlier post. I strongly suggested against working during semesters except on holidays but I remember you said something about students hustling to pay fees. |

sidnigga: On another day I would have been really mad at this kinda post because you're hitting at me but it's raining so heavy here and I have a class, I won't stay home cox of rain so I entered it like that now I'm so shaking like fish outta water. I wasn't wrong for correcting you, a lot people depend on this forum and I wouldn't allow any wrong info to sound right. Again u were wrong 100%! You can't just come here with assumptions, nobody knows it all that's why I only attend to what I know on here. btw, my trv issued last year wasn't luck. I worked for it, prayed for it and God blessed me with it. I have read what you wrote about ur cousin's app and I refuse to reason with you cox reasoning with you would only make me to start thinking like you which i'm not ready to settle for. I'm writing it again that it's better you stop assuming, no VO would deny someone for less passport validity. 5 Likes |

People have tried it and came back here to report how they couldn't get it done. Ideally they will only renew for 6months or less validity and someone just mentioned about writing a letter to abuja alongside ur school acceptance letter, which sounds good. |

if one cud find a way to renew his\her passport I Think There Is No Harm In Doing That..It'd Put One In Safe Condition Rather Than Waiting For VO To Instruct 2 Do Dat.What If D VO Doesnt Care 1 Like |

sidnigga:... I understand what u mean, but Visas don't get denied based on Passport validity date.... Keep in mind Visa is only for u to enter Canada... What keeps u in here is ur Study Permit... So, for the matter at hand with 10months validity, if he can't get it renewed... That can't make them deny him visa... he will be issued Visa for 10months and he can renew his Visa once he renews his passport here in Canada.... super easy ... 1 Like |
