Joe980: Oh, bus ride is just 2hrs. The flights were arranged in that manner for it to be that cheap. There was a flight too from Montreal to YOW, but I couldnt book that one in time. I'm okay with this one, at least I'll get to have a good view of the City. Lol. 1 Like |

Good day All, Please i want to apply for study visa next year as a self sponsor. i will like clarification of the following questions: 1. Will it be okay to credit my salary account which is the account i want to use for my visa application with the total cost of the program and cost of living at once? 2. Is it true that it will be difficult for a 2nd class graduate of Business Administration with over 6 years work experience to get Visa to study a post Graduate diploma course? 3. What is the average lead time from application for visa to the point where it is granted online route? 4. How easy/difficult is it for ones family(spouse and 2 children) to get visa to join me in Canada. From an eager applicant. Thanks all. 1 Like 1 Share |
Hello Goodmorning house. Pls i am new here, and i need help because i want to repackage and refire back after being. Biometrics oct 13th, online route; delayed Dec 2nd. School: Cambrian College of arts and technology, Sudbury. Program: 2ND UG-Industrial Mechanical Millwright Tech. @dazlinga so sorry about your delay. On a different but related note, why are you doing a 2nd undergrad after a first degree in Geology. Geology is actually a great degree to have in Canada...the job prospects are great especially in Alberta. If you are reapplying, you may want to consider a Masters in Geology. About your visa, from my experience, VOs are very skeptical about 2nd Undergraduate degrees though as you stated, you had a compelling reason in your SOP. Good luck! |

@pchax can I use ur SOP as a guild in writing mine |
Re: Travelling To Canada Part 6 by Dazlinga: 6:19pm On Dec 05, 2014 |
@lalavita Thanks a lot..I am considering taking up a PG as I won't be able to go in for a masters program since I have a 2.2, well I will be looking to see what's available for me..My school international student officer warned me about going for EMPD actually which is closely related to Geology but it was unavailable at that time so I choosed IMTQ which is UG cos I done tire for this Naija |

olamonsor2:When I finished service I was managing a dump truck for a friend, it was just a gentleman agreement and no employment letter tendered plus I considered it to be an unskilled job so didn't need to put in all that there too although I did mention it in my explanation letter but didn't upload personal act or employment details about the job..I have a job offer now though in a friends oil firm which I wanna take..it will help in my next application for employment details 1 Like |

Dazlinga: Yes, Nigeria can be quite frustrating but it is also super frustrating to spend time and money on a 2nd first degree, only to struggle to get a job in Canada. Many people on this thread have given great advice. Read it, rework your application and reapply. My 2 cents Apply for a Post Grad course in Geology or something very closely related Read @Anugoson's suggestions including the inclusion of a number of relevant docs such as Sponsor's letter etc.. Good luck |

So the 8th week has passed and I still haven't gotten any response from CIC. Although I just saw 2 missed calls from that same number Anugoson talked about a few wks ago. I wonder if that is really vfs/cic. I just tracked my app online and there's no update so I guess I'm waiting till next week again. Sorry about the denials lately. I'll keep yall posted on things. Have a great weekend guys. 3 Likes |

congratulations pchax Good Afternoon. I collected my passport yesterday with the Visa on it. Thanks to God! Also, I appreciate this community for letting me "disturb" them with some bogging questions. Details of my application are below. BACKGROUND AND TMELINE: I submitted online on the 28th of September and did my biometrics the next day. I used a sponsor (my dad) and a co-sponsor (my brother in-law). DOCUMENTS: ❖ My Sponsor's Letter (SOA: 12M Fixed Deposit) ❖ My Co-Sponsor's Letter (SOA: 5M Corporate Account) ❖ My Letter NOTABLE EXCEPTIONS AND RISKS TAKEN: 1. Did not submit my SOA 2. Did not submit my NYSC Certificate 3. Scanned all the documents with my Tablet with poor lighting. Had to photo edit each document to make it readable atleast. 4. Did not pay school fees 5. Non of the documents were notarized neither was an affidavit sworn. They were all on plain A4 sheets. My sponsor had no letter head (retired and not working). My co-sponsor had a letter head. Please feel free to ask any questions concerning the application package. I saw the format that I employed in the application on a Pakistani forum where TRV hopefuls meet. Once again, thank you all and wishing us all more TRVs. I give all glory to God. Now who is joining me in ethopian airlines on the 26th? EDIT: I no get access to my NL email. Abeg no vex if you send me PM and I no reply.
4 Likes 1 Share |
