Oh, bus ride is just 2hrs. The flights were arranged in that manner for it to be that cheap. There was a flight too from Montreal to YOW, but I couldnt book that one in time. I'm okay with this one, at least I'll get to have a good view of the City. Lol.

Yea, it was ticked. I did not add the deed of gift again, instead I added shares certificates, company reg doc (I'm also a director) and my statement of Account with about 1.5m

Please i want to apply for study visa next year as a self sponsor. i will like clarification of the following questions:

1. Will it be okay to credit my salary account which is the account i want to use for my visa application with the total cost of the program and cost of living at once?
2. Is it true that it will be difficult for a 2nd class graduate of Business Administration with over 6 years work experience to get Visa to study a post Graduate diploma course?
3. What is the average lead time from application for visa to the point where it is granted online route?
4. How easy/difficult is it for ones family(spouse and 2 children) to get visa to join me in Canada.

On a different but related note, why are you doing a 2nd undergrad after a first degree in Geology.
Geology is actually a great degree to have in Canada...the job prospects are great especially in Alberta.
If you are reapplying, you may want to consider a Masters in Geology.

About your visa, from my experience, VOs are very skeptical about 2nd Undergraduate degrees though as you stated, you had a compelling reason in your SOP.

Add ur soa, in your sop, try to draw vo attention why u ar goin to canny, try to explain wen ur program starts and end... and u need home tie to convince him u are comin back after ur study e.g landed properties like land receipt, survey plan

When I finished service I was managing a dump truck for a friend, it was just a gentleman agreement and no employment letter tendered plus I considered it to be an unskilled job so didn't need to put in all that there too although I did mention it in my explanation letter but didn't upload personal act or employment details about the job..I have a job offer now though in a friends oil firm which I wanna take..it will help in my next application for employment details

Yes, Nigeria can be quite frustrating but it is also super frustrating to spend time and money on a 2nd first degree, only to struggle to get a job in Canada.

Many people on this thread have given great advice. Read it, rework your application and reapply.

Apply for a Post Grad course in Geology or something very closely related

Read @Anugoson's suggestions including the inclusion of a number of relevant docs such as Sponsor's letter etc..

So the 8th week has passed and I still haven't gotten any response from CIC. Although I just saw 2 missed calls from that same number Anugoson talked about a few wks ago. I wonder if that is really vfs/cic. I just tracked my app online and there's no update so I guess I'm waiting till next week again.

Please a question to anyone that was granted after re application with a related program, did you mention ur previous program and how it's related to the current program you are about to apply with.

BACKGROUND AND TMELINE:

I submitted online on the 28th of September and did my biometrics the next day.
I used a sponsor (my dad) and a co-sponsor (my brother in-law).

DOCUMENTS:

4. Did not pay school fees
5. Non of the documents were notarized neither was an affidavit sworn. They were all on plain A4 sheets. My sponsor had no letter head (retired and not working). My co-sponsor had a letter head.

1. You have not satisfied me that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay. In reaching this decision i considered some several factors, including;

a) Travel History
b)length of proposed stay in Canada
c)purpose of visit
d)your current employment situation(i filled none at present but stated that i once managed a dump truck shortly after youth service which was an unskilled job, no employment letter and it was just a gentleman agreement as the truck belonged to my friend)
e)your personal assets and financial status( I did not submit a personal account or assets, although i own a property i purchased 2011 for 3M and undergoing development, now valued at 12M at present, i didn't include it. I gravely regret not including it, it would have served as a hometie, i may be wrong. I did apply online, i just felt responsible for only the required docs to upload. I really feel terrible right now as i have put in so much time and resources just to get delayed after a long wait. Pls i need you guys to help with ideas on what to do this time, i really need a good SOP guideline too because i have written to school to deffer my admission till next start date, maybe may or September, still awaiting response from them. A friend of mine that owns a little oil servicing firm in PH just offered me an employment letter and said he will be paying me 85k montly just to boost up my next application. I am taking the joba. Please i need you guys to help with ideas, i am still in shock, i have been having sleepless nights, but i am still eager to do the needful come next February..Thanks
