I had an appointment in LASUTH today and when I was leaving I saw so many people milling around the BT children's ward in groups. This was about 4pm . It caught my attention because it reminded me of the scene at a bus stop after they catch a theif.

Some services are not working, hope you realize that the consultants, nurses, pharmacists, laboratory, emmergency services can never go on strike, and their are also medical officers (not on strike), as well as house officers (that cannever go on strike) as well. It is mainly the resident doctors that are on strike.

bros truth is Nigerians are yet to get to the level of believing without seeing! You would have saved your self the stress of unnecessary mentions if you had attached atleast a Pic of this whole event on long distance without staying anywhere close to the scene. The picture would have been a Great source of confirmation! Not doubting you though coz this days anybody can put up any news just to make front page! Between, no one would want to waste his money to dial those numbers you displayed there coz the CMD or whatever wount even pick the call let alone of dishing out exclusive info.

Since it was a suspected case, why was she allowed to drive off alone to 'where ever?' Yes, the doctor was human and fled but a call should have been placed to Yaba or the 0800ebola...immediately. I mean this is Lasuth and not a private hospital.

It also goes to show that the government is not really on top of the situation since there were no laid down protocols. Protocols that would have been followed in cases like this for a virus especially one that has claimed one Nigerian life, with 8 more quarantined.

She did have an escort, but I was unable to get much details on that, the women is apparently well-connected person(many claimed a politician and came in her ride accompanied by a friend), but I have been unable to get more details about this.

There was another side to yesterday's event that concerned BT Diagnostic, but the details were somewhat fuzzy so i neglected to post that.

The more reason they should have handled her more professionally! Sending her away on her own is more dangerous than having her isolated and subsequently disinfecting after she'd been transported to Yaba would have been better.
