egopersonified: I think it's partly from taking Edo in school when I lived in Nigeria and also because I actually understand the language for the most part. Just don't start talking fast or anything LOL I remember taking a road trip with my dad and I think we were going to see St John's college which I believe is in Fugar and my dad showing us the River Niger far far away in the Horizon. Honestly I still find it confusing how we could see reflections of the river and also I was confused as heck back then because the River Niger I knew was in Asaba crossing over to Onitsha when we went to my mother's side of the family. I don't know much about my people who live around the water but I would really love to go there and see. My mom says you cannot access some of those villages with a car. You have to go on a boat. I just think that's cool as hell. I could buy my own darned Island right there in my own LGA and make myself queen LOL |

Orjioorji: my Dad Igbo from imo state while mum hausa from ZariaI want to believe your mum is a Christian. It's really hard to see southerners marrying Hausas except in few cases where they're Chritians. But hausa men marrying Igbos or other southerners is more commonplace and the southerner becomes Hausa and Muslim upon marriage. 3 Likes |
