Details of interesting things that happened at the OOU students' Protest in Abeokuta as compiled by Odedeyi

Day 1
*Students were out en-masse to protest at Abeokuta, even went to different extent to get transport due to the SUG bus driver's negligence.

*Students resolved to raise money from begging civilians to get transport to Abeokuta.

*Some people boarded motorcycles from Ago-iwoye to Abeokuta.

*Students booed the Ogun State Commissioner for Education, Barrister Odubela alongside his companions, Tola Banjo and others. The Commissioner for Police, Okoye wasn't spared also, as he was asked to call on his boss(Amosun) to attend to students.

*OOU SUG employed a very sensitive idea of 'ADVANCE TEAM' which helped us strategize and see things ahead before the entire students arrived in Abeokuta. Kudos to Socialist!

*A philanthropist, lawyer came to OOUite's aid and supported our cause with cash to purchase food items, which was supported with the in-house contribution of OOUITES.

*'Suwe' as famously called was resolved to as something to calm our nerves and keep our company as Students took to the entrance of Governor's office as playground.

*Footballers also storm the entrance to display their sportsmanship. Socialist amazed everyone by displaying his footballistic talents beyond people's expectations.

*Iwe-Iroyin was visited to make the ever diplomatic Press men have an insight into what we are fighting for and support our cause.

*While some people went to Iwe-iroyin, MAPOLY Students made a surprise attack on us which was later suppressed by our gallant, dogged and rugged OOUITES. All the way, SMSSA President-elect, Omo-Akin was wounded alongside Jibola, thin+tall of Science, and valuables were obtained forcefully from them. The S.A on Student Matters to the governor was alleged to have incited Mapaites against us.

*For security reasons, Socialist later suggested we move away from the governor's office entrance and go to a secure place arranged by the Committee for Defence of Human Rights (CDHR), in which maximum support was given to us. Kudos! to CDHR.

*We mobilized and arranged ourselves in a responsible manner at the place CDHR provided, as Rice was cooked by some executives and students in which OOUITES ate 'hazardously'.

*There was fun as bomb fires were created and Students dance round it having fun and gyrating.

*"Mo Rugged" is a slang we brought from Abeokuta as a suspected infiltrator mistakenly fell into bomb fire and said "Mo Rugged". Rugged indeed when he discovered he is half-burnt, he strongly cried for help but was later extracted from the scene by his companions.

Day 2
*'Bad day devil drink water'. At exactly 1:15am, a rumour was spread of Mapoly Students attacking us, in which students run en-masse scampering for safety and defending but to discover we have been pranked. Several peoples got injured due to the prank, though the prank moment is the most exciting moment of the struggle.

*Due to the expensive prank, people couldn't sleep again as they gyrated all through. But still, some tse-tse personnels slept no matter what.

*At exactly 5.00am, my gallant OOUITES are on their feet ready for the day's activity as they prepared themselves and waited a little bit before they converged and was determined to marched to Oke-Mosan.

*Unknowingly, A surprise blockade has been placed ahead of us at Kuto round-about to stop us from reaching Oke-Mosan. Students shouted in their Aluta voices, and after some minutes, Socialist addressed us and we were allowed to go.

*The plan and agreement OOUITES made was to reach Oke-Mosan, but another blockade was placed in front of MKO stadium in Abeokuta. We hijacked 2 lanes out of the four lanes in a peaceful manner and we started our normal playground activities.

*Not quite along after our arrival, OP MESA was deployed and after so much cries and agitation, OP MESA left.

*Minutes later, The Police accused us of blocking the four lanes and they released tear gas amidst us. Students scamper for safety and took to kerosene as the saviour from the salvaging hands of chemical substance.

*Students took to the street and ran to get suppressor for the tear gas.

*Some people were harassed, beaten, humiliated and arrested, in which the SUG VP(Seliat) was a clear example. She is now fine and healthy.

*Immediately after the release of tear gas, PRINCE called on some Journalists to come and help, but they were restricted by the security men from using their cameras. Later after their heartless moves, they allowed Journalists on ground due to the Journalist's doggedness.

*We later re-converge at Kuto round-about where Amosun met us and we together marched to the football arena of MKO Abiola Stadium.

*Amosun shifted his ground, but he credited his acts to the ignorance of not knowing OOU is in first semester.

*He addressed us and promised to get back to us within a week, while Socialist instructed Students not to pay the school fees within the One week. Socialist also said OOUITES are coming massively to the state capital, if no result is seen at the expiry of the ultimatum.

*Amosun later assisted us with Buses to convey us back home. He also donated buses to tertiary institutions in Ogun State, in which OOU is one.

We came, We saw, We Conquered!

Good job OOUites. I just wanna add this... From the staging area(where yall spent d night) Do scout your routes to the Objective (Governors office vicinity) before advancing with the whole body of students. Make use of decoy teams to decieve the police before yall rendevouz at the Ground zero. Lastly education is yall right and not meant for the highest bidder. Go grab it guys.
