I'm surprised that all you care to answer frm my many ?s is who invented the drug.
This nano-silver had been in exisitence for long and used for some other things thatz nt medically related...and i need not to ask google b4 repeating it that there must be an inventor or group of inventors for that....bt seriously, what is ur problem abt who invented it?...this is a critical situatn that needs urgent action with the same speed with which USA treated there own citizens....all i want to be sure of is that it wont have any negative side effect either itz a cure or not.
I'm very sure u'll be singing different song if one of ur relatves is among those already infected with the virus.
Lol this is just comic relief grin grin grin

Because I get ANGRY so ANGRY when I see Nigerians deceiving other Nigerians and shaming us. I am so damn patriotic, because I want Nigeria to be the country it SHOULD be. And the DUMBEST people, out of mistaken pride and ignorant STUPIDITY, shout down logic and facts. It makes so so angry. I wish some Nigerians could be wiped off, so Nigeria could start over.

Do you expect to achieve that by forcing your opinions on people?

xp17: if you want to shittt on a road, make sure you ain't going to pass that road again. Nigeria don't really need to reply the US in other to use the nano silver.

speaking from common sense, the so called nano silver appears like scam to me. this is just an independent business man who is looking to put more money in his bank . beside, nano Silver was not originally meant to cure Ebola, it was for other unrelated sicknesses, unlike the zmapp which was made just for this purpose .hence, US skepticism should be given a benefit of doubt.

if nano silver must be used, no federal budget or commitment must be made until it becomes the right medicine for Ebola . more so, a plan B (zmapp) should also be seek for, incase this fails .and from the way Nigeria is taking it, I don't see US obliging to our future requests for zmapp, should nano silver fails. perhaps, they are awaiting Nigeria crawling back to them, begging like a baby.

answer for the gods only

this thread go make sense.

Oya let the bashing begin.

I share your grief. That is why in most cases I do not really like to comment on nairaland because most Nigerians are too sentimental, always trying to blame other people for their misfortunes.
A lot of Nigerians do not ask questions and are knee jerkers.

It surprises me that we still have universities in this country that offer disciplines such as Med & surgery, Pharmacy,Dentistry,Microbiology nad biochemistry...It is more surprising that in these fields, we have professors and authorities.

Where are the authorities, professors and graduates when you need em?

cry cry cry

oga park well! what has been done to help the vast resources of brains that are being wasted annually through Nigeria's "poor" education system? or u expect an average Nigerian microbiology student who might not be exposed to any tangible practicals aside culturing common bacteria 2 risk his life with 'the deadly ebola virus?

Princek12: Since majority of Nigerians are either illiterates or educated illiterates, their response to America's claim does not surprise me. The scientist who created the so called ebola drug chose to remain anonymous. Why? He chose to because he is a scam. A real scientist will stand by his creation and defend it in peer review and scientific journals.

Which laboratory was used in the development? Has it been tested on animals? Is there a procedure in place for clinical trials? This "feel among" attitude displayed by all these benighted Nigerians without the infrastructure that entitles you to be among is laughable. You want to feel as though you are producing an Ebola cure but you don't have electricity, you have a decrepit educational system, you have no funding for scientific research, and you have no procedure for regulating clinical trials. But you want to feel among.

Good luck to the people taking Nigeria's Ebola drug.

U are here cursing America when fashola and his American boy boy have declared "no American Zmapp no ebola treatment" even if it will take us a hundred year for America to release their so called Zmapp. Inferiority complex at its peak.

While won't America condemn nano- silva? Cause they know, it's only take little effort to put fear in Africans and they will run back to them beging on their knees.

Maybe instead of we cursing them, we should take up the challeng and rise up to the occasion.
One thing i know, if we discover a cure for ebola today, America have no power to stop us from using it.

LET'S LEAVE THE TALK AND DO THE WORK and America will respect us.

If Nano silver can help., then, let it help..
Do we have a chance.?
If we don't have the zmapp, and we have something at hand already, do we wait for zmapp that we don't even have yet.?
Or do we wait until the people are about to die, so that we administer our nanosilver and watch the magic that might follow.?

size38: Nigeria should go develop their own drugs not depending on other peoples sweat and investments. Just yesterday GEJ sacked 16,000 resident Doctors in Nigeria. Have we seen America or any other developed countries do this? Have we seen from other countries where universities and polytechnics were shot down for several months? All these happens in nigeria frequently.

barcanista: we are not answerable to the US. They are NOT right to dictate to us as long as I am concerned.

#Nigeria Has Come of Age

My brother, don't fall my hand na. There is no need of insulting the US for an opinion. The supplement was not invented by a Nigeria scientist at has been in existence for ever. Also it is more of a long term than an emergency like the EBOLA threat.

Of course it is Nigeria's decision to make but it should be an informed one. If Nigeria decides to put all its hope and most of its budget on this supplement instead of spending some of the money on prevention strategies and sorting out the healthcare workers issues, in no time you will be crawling back and crying out to the same people you are insulting now for help. As we speak an American doctor is taking care of your EBOLA patients spending money from his pocket for medicine (as reported by the relatives and doctors association during the week)

Sometimes silence is golden. And there is a saying that you should not make noise until you are out of the forest. Really, to show how gullible Nigerians are millions took unimaginable amounts of salt just over one night creating more serious problems. The thing is someone made huge amounts of money and were smiling to the bank. So will some people in this case.

UrbanMystique: what if nigerians keep churning out possible cures for the disease and one nation keeps embarrassing us telling us everything we do is crap, like over 160million people are stupid and still not willing to help.

why cant they just allow us to fail and allow us to learn from our failure?

Lol so that's a discouragement? When you know what you're are doing, you need not seek validation from anyone.

A good product sell itself, it needs no advertisement or validation from anybody, it's results silence the naysayers.

Nigeria is just a mediocre country, they blame everybody but themselves.

Well I have no recollection of the U.S equating 5 with the addition of two 2s :-)

What they did do however, was offer an obvious caution, similar to not jumping off the bridge.

There's a reason why Africa is still largely underdeveloped and one is the high rate of Ignorance.

Access to the internet one would have thought would instigate a Renaissance of knowledge. Yet, there's a palpable resistance to curiosity and research.

Which Nigerian created Nano silver or in fact any variant of it?

How has it been tested and what are the results?

Has it been peer-reviewed?

It is clear that we would cut off our nose to spite our face if only to prove....no point.

In Ignorance we have immersed ourselves and the stench is putrid.

Countries dedicate vast resources- human and material and still struggle to come up with a solution. But in our blind patriotism we would gladly ingest poison to prove our coming of age.

Time would tell and I fear countless lives would be lost as we wallow in our contempt of knowledge.
