Do you think people are born naturally evil or naturally good? Do share your thoughts.

Fair to say all humans are born the same and equal, but we all deviate due to our different upbringings and surroundings.
Some kids will experience the better things in life and adapt to that, others will be forced into the opposite situation and will evolve to that lifestyle. But no, humans are not born evil, we deviate into It.

I think, morals are cultured into us by our family and by our society. It is a nurtured thing. Without the laws governing us, the most evil of deeds surely will be lurking all around us. So I think it's very possible for one to be born Evil. I'm not ruling that chance out.

Everyone was born good, but as we are growing up we get influenced by the society or the environment around us. Things we see and do everyday changed us from good to evil.
Some people are just not as lucky as others. They were born in a bad neighborhood. Fights and bad things are happening all the time; any child growing up in that environment will most likely to become bad. The child may think it is natural to do bad things to survive.

If we were to be kept away from the evil thoughts, then we should be able to stay good forever. One must have a good self discipline to control itself not to do bad.

Simply add God to the equation and you will become acceptable.

Every child born is like a blank slate. No child, irrespective of their circumstances is born bad.

Children are what you make them. What you as a parent/guardian writes on that slate determines what that very impressionable child's outlook on life would be. Society / environment also plays it's role in shaping that child.

Well no one is born bad but circumstances make or shape some people to be wicked. Like frustration, poverty and abuse, breeds all manners of wickedness and cruelty we see in our society today

How about the conscience? Society doesn't give us that, and it's present in young children.

I think we're born with a raw sense of morality that is further shaped by our environment, and genes (innate personality/character traits). I remember watching an interesting Yale research piece on the this topic on the news program 60 Minutes.

Children are usually born into a perverse world. They only inherit physical attributes from their parents.

NB. Jesus said we must become converted and like little children. He would not tell us to do this if children were truly born totally depraved of grace. If they were born as totally depraved that would mean that there is nothing in them that is not depraved and therefore we should not become like children in any sense. But Jesus said there was something in children that we need to take as our example (their humility). This passage shows that children are not born totally depraved.

Going by genealogy , there are so many attributes of your parents that are embedded in the spermatozoa and the egg cell of women and when these two substances collide , life begins and initially , you Inherit the attributes of your parents !

As life goes on through influence of agents of socialisation, you create your own channels(Good/Bad) to send to your children too !!

People are born with a natural inclination to evil. That's why we have to be socialised to demonstrate restraint and understand what is, and what is not acceptable behaviour. Most people can abide by "the rules" for the most part, but that's really only because we discriminate between types and level of evil. At the edges we have psychopath and sociopaths, but they are just extreme cases of what most people are.

Most Christians see this a the "sin nature". It is present in all and evident in most. People may demonstrate impulse control or no tbe particularly inclined towards certain ill-behaviours, but the capacity is there. Only grace can enable you to understand it, resist it and ultimately overcome it.

I think we are born naturally to do good, but the heart of man turns evil by choice. We have our conscience (our inner mind), which helps us make the right decisions. Sometimes we neglect the voice telling us to do the right thing and choose instead to do the wrong thing.

Everybody was born good. but environment and situations of life plays great roles in one's life and behaviour.
but in all, we have no justify reason to be bad.
