If you want to start a fresh doing same course, not a good idea, better just go on with your master degree. But if you want change field of study then starting afresh is alright as long as you're comfortable with it age wise. Your age is a factor too. |

akitijackson: I'm final year student of the English Language(B.A). In my 1st year in the university, I was a first class student, bt I drastically dropped to 2.2 in 300level. As I discovered d level at which I dropped, I lost interest in the degree, nw I dnt knw my fate. My plan nw is as soon as I'm done, I'm gonna apply for a 2nd degree nd dis time ntin will stop me frm attaining what I've always desired. Now my dilema is if it's gon be a gud idea for me to start afresh or shld I jst continue onto masters? I really want to make things straight cos the worst result I've eva had is dis present 1. If you cant correct whatever is responsible for your drastic drop from first class to 2.2 during this degree I doubt you would ever be able to graduate with anything better than 2.2 in your subsequent degrees. 2 Likes |

That's what i call final-year-syndrome where you might have loose all passions for learning. my advise? if time is on your side and you still get the overwhelming desire to start again. if you don't mind that your colleagues would start making money before you do, then get jamb form as early as possible, don't procrastinate and start all over but this time put in more seriousness. i will advise you still go for service just in case you have a change of mind. you can take jamb during your service year. that way you can realy decide whether you want to proceed to a second degree, get a masters or begin work. i know a brother who finished from english, took waec and jamb again and went to study law in another university, though he was working and going for classes at the same time. Today, he's doing very well and has nothing to loose. think well and if this is what you want. then go ahead 1 Like |
