Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 7:55pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
I'd have to say Angola, cuz it was a French Colony. |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:00pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
B.T.W, your answer to my previous question was correct. @topic The hybrid state is selected becuz it has a gr8er survival rate and reproductive sucess, it leads to a population that retains a great vriety of allels. a)Survival of the Fittest b)Heterozygote superiority c)minority advantage d)superiority advantage |
Re: The Educative Game by ow11(m): 8:02pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
dominique: B. Angola. The others are Landlocked countries! |
Re: The Educative Game by ow11(m): 8:04pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
Pick out the odd one and why? A. Nigeria B. Ethiopia C. Ghana D. Algeria E. Central African republic F. Libya |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:05pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
dominique: Many of these questions are not well structured . . . hence ambiguous answers. Peptic ulcers can be caused by bacteria + in some instances cancer of the duodenum + Cox 1 inhibitors . . . (15% of patients on long term non-specific NSAIDS will develop non-bacterial related ulcers of the stomach and duodenum). |

Did someone call my name? Yes, I know am a queen, thank you |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:33pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
i got this off the internet so pls no cheating or peeking at the answer . . . do it yourself. You beat a team by 25 points. If they had scored twice as many points they would have beaten you by 14 points. What was the final score? |
Re: The Educative Game by dominique(f): 8:36pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
@ davidylan you dont expect me to give straightforward direct questions. i'm aware that not all cases of peptic ulcer is not exclusively caused by bacteria, but most are (read on Helocobadter pylori aight). . . options a, c and g are all viral infections FL Gators: wrong ow11: correct!!! |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:39pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
@dom Yea, I realize I was wrong when I went to confirm my answer |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:43pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
dominique: then what's the point asking the question in the first place? My bet is you just read up the fact that peptic ulcers are not all caused by bacteria. dominique: Been there, done that. Read up on non-selective NSAIDS . . . that is the primary concern here in the US when it comes to peptic ulcers not H.pylori. |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:44pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
David, Your question is mind twisting. davidylan:25-14= 11 11. 2= 22 22+14= 36 36- 25= 11 Is it 11? I guesses ok |
Re: The Educative Game by dominique(f): 8:45pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
FL Gators:sawwwy ow11: E-- because its the only landlocked country |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:48pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
FL Gators: lol no Let your team score = A Let other team score = B you beat them by 25 points so A - B = 25 If they scored 2ce their score they'd beat you by 14 points so 2B - A = 14 Add both equations together . . . B = 39 Plug B back into the first equation . . . A - 39 = 25 A = 64. Simple algebra. |
Re: The Educative Game by dominique(f): 8:54pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
davidylan: er. . . nope i kindda studied a whole lotta bacteria in school Read up on non-selective NSAIDS . . . that is the primary concern here in the US when it comes to peptic ulcers not H.pyloriwill do. . . just admit you got the question wrong FL Gators: |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:57pm On Jun 14, 2009 |
@dom and david Ok, that was an EDUCATED guess. Give another one |
Re: The Educative Game by Nobody: 8:58pm On Jun 14, 2009 |

Re: The Educative Game by jaybee3(m): 9:52am On Jun 15, 2009 |
You bought a ten-gallon hat as a souvenir of a visit to London; only when you got home you discovered that the label states it to be only a six-gallon hat. By now, you were sceptical that it was even that big, and you decided to test it by trying to fill it with 6 gallons of water. The only containers you have on hand are a 9-gallon and a 4-gallon container. Using them, how were you able to pour 6 gallons into the hat? |
Re: The Educative Game by jaybee3(m): 9:53am On Jun 15, 2009 |
Imagine a large empty bin. Say that each minute people would come and put in one golf ball a piece. The first minute (starting at 12 noon), 1 person came and put in a ball. The second minute, 2 people put in one ball a piece. A minute later, 4 people put in 1 ball a piece. This pattern continued until the bin was exactly full at 6pm. At what time was the bin half empty? |
Re: The Educative Game by ow11(m): 12:11pm On Jun 15, 2009 |
dominique: Sorry I forgot to add Lesotho to that list . . . The answer was supposed to be Ethiopia as the only non-colonised African Country. @stamma Your questions are ambiguous and can have more than One answer and I was right on all three points. 1. Luxembourg can be odd in the list that includes Sicily, Madagascar and Crete because it is the only non-island. However, Madagascar can also be odd because it is not part of the EU. Luxembourg, Sicily(Italy) and Crete(Greece) are members of the EU. So I CANNOT BE WRONG!!!!! 2. Queen Victoria is a Woman and that can be odd in a list that has the other three as men. There again, your question is ambiguous and has 2 answers. Therefore I CANNOT BE WRONG!!! 3. Lasagne alla Bolognese is a type of Lasagne and it is essentially a cheese dish. Since it is made up of cheese and not pasta. The ambiguity of your questions prop up again as the others have flour as their base. So there again I CANNOT BE WRONG!!! |
Re: The Educative Game by dominique(f): 12:26pm On Jun 15, 2009 |
jay bee: i dont think i'm getting this question. . .first of all i dont wanna imagine what a 10 gallon hat looks like first you fill the 9 gallon container with water and pour it directly into the 6 gallon hat. the remainder will be poured into the 4 gallon container. you since this "hat" is supposed to be 6 gallons, the remaining water shouldn't fill the 4 gallon container. i dont expect it to be that simple. . . maybe you should explain a lil better |

ow11: my dear is not a tumbom tumbom question you got it all wrong . The beginning of knowledge is the discovery of something we do not understand. Believing you know it all, will guarantee you learn nothing - and achieve even less. |
Re: The Educative Game by jaybee3(m): 1:21pm On Jun 15, 2009 |
dominique:How can you pour 6 gallons of water into a 9 gallon jug? You only have 9 and 4 gallon jugs to use for the process. Note: The jugs are not calibrated The clue is to write down the process. |

stamma: Your inability to address a problem with your questions pointed out to you is the problem. If I was wrong as you claim can you refute the points one by one? I dare you to do so. . . You asked questions that have more than one possibility and I pointed that out to you rather than correcting the anomaly or accepting that fact, you are yapping about beginning of knowledge and all. I still stand that my answers were CORRECT given the possibility of more than one answer to your question. I laugh when you claim I learn nothing. How can I accept what is obviously not entirely correct as true and claim to have learnt something new? If you cannot do proper research before asking questions, then you should not bother posting! What you have done is like saying the root of 49 is 7 only when the answer could also be -7. This is the same problem you had when you claimed quartz was a rock! |

ow11: my dear The dumbest people I know are those who know it all. Whosoever wishes to know about the world must learn about it in its particular details. Knowledge is not intelligence. In searching for the truth be ready for the unexpected. Change alone is unchanging. The same road goes both up and down. The beginning of a circle is also its end. Not I, but the world says it: all is one. And yet everything comes in season. |
