Infact Gtbank messed me up on thursday,debited my account,assured me of a reversal in an hour,but latest 24 hrs..they never did.d nxt day i went only to be given a " dispense error form" to fill..up n till this moment nothing..

Last year December I wanted to go shopping with my friends only for the ATM to debit my money without paying me, My money was reversed after 2 weeks and that na after I don complain tire for bank.

My second experience was when I needed to travel from Lagos to school because I had test the next morning, I got to the ATM and it refused to pay me. Right in front of me it paid people that came with other ATMS but refused go pay diamond bank. Na so I follow ATM seat down until the machine change mind pay me o,

Usually out of service, but i have never experienced it at a critical time before. Plan ahead, don't rely on ATM, the way nigerians queue outside banks is usually very funny as if their life depends on that money of which most of them na shakara jor . This happens more during festive seasons.

God bless you my guy. Dem wan kill us for that area. Agbara too far; Alaba banks na yeye; atm for okoko is way too risky- either dem rob you or gateman no go let man rest and Aocoed UBA na insult to banking in Nigeria. Lasu is always safer but if night reach, you on your own oh

Mine I think was around June.

Went to the ATM at Access Bank Oregun Road. My ATM was inactive. I wan craze because 1 kobo no dey my pocket.

I waka from that branch to Ojota testing almost every ATM in sight.

It was at Zenith I pleaded with a boyfriend and girlfriend couple if I could transfer funds to their account and they withdraw with their ATM and they give me the money. They simply ignored me.

I now asked the security operative there if he could help me out. He said he did not have an ATM.

I now asked if I could send him phone credit to his phone number and he gives me the cash equivalent. He said no but funny he gave me a 100 naira. Nice bloke. At times, its those that dont have that are the most generous. God bless his soul.

Another time, the ATM wacked my last 1000 home and abroad and I was forced to walk home. I however went to Shoprite which is about 10minutes walk from my house to meet a friend who gave me 1000.

It happened around april when i wanted to travel to my village for Easter holiday and that was on friday which was a holiday too. I went to the park to pay my T.fare and have already concluded that i will withdraw the money i will spend during the easter period as well but when i got to the park, i was told that the money has been increased by #500 so i quickly rushed to skye bank ATM opposite the park to withdraw some money but whent i inserted my card, the Machine seized it and didn't pay me the money i requested for. I went to the security men to help me out but they said it was a holiday and there is no worker around to get the card out for me meanwhile the driver was waiting for me to come and complete the Fare. Later, it was another passenger that helped me out and that made me not to buy anything throughout that journey including food until i got to my final destination which was my village because i was trying to keep the little money i had remapining in my pocket so as not to beg for another T.fare down to my village. The Easter celebration was done inside my room until Tuesday when the bank was reopened. It was so boring because i had no money to move around or to give friends and relations. I was home alone.

Yes of cos. The damn ATM replied,"APPLICATION ERROR" like it was
some damn Java Phone

I did not believe him but when we passed by d atm d nxt morning it was d talk of d moment, about 4 guyz had discovered d error as wel nd had drained d atm of all available funds.
appeared as if d error came about because 1000 naira was loaded in as 500 naira....nd d funny tin was dat till date my friend was nt debited for his cheating (happened 2yrs ago)..

I believe that many Nigerians have at one time or the other been disappointed by an ATM machine.

Mine has happened severally.

It happened again today. I was quite broke so I decided to go get money from an ATM with the last money I had on me.

I went there, was fortunate as there was no crowd there. But the ATM machine could not pay me. I was with a diamond bank's ATM and wanted to withdraw from a UBA ATM. It paid other banks but my bank had bad network. I waited for like 1 hour, all to no avail.

The location of Diamond bank from my place was far and the money I had may not have taken me there, plus hold up.

After trying severally I had to go home. Feeling so bad. .lol.

ah ah.... And u dey complain?? Well, mine happend 2mnths back.... Like you, on that faithfull day, i was broke, had just 50naira on me which could get me to d nearest bank to refill my wallet since i had spent the money i had during my journey d previous day, on getting to d nearest bank which was GTB, there was no queue so i went to d nearest machine, slot in my card (ZENITH) which was usually acceptd by GTB, i tried to withdrw just 1000 naira since that particular account which i had an atm card for was low on cash(i spend alot so my first bank and GTB acc. have no atm cards to avoid overspending), i heard d machine whirl and ASAP an alert enterd my fne but no cash came out. Till today, that money hasnt been refunded and i decided not to go nd complain at the bank because of 1000naira... Well bottom line, i had to trek back home.... A distance which takes about 10mins in a keke to arrive plus it was under the hot sunday sun.... I still dont find that day funny.....

Sorry to those of you with terrible experiences. For me Atm has been a blessing once. Was very broke and hungry on sunny afternoon and I walked all d way to a machine to retrieve d last 1k in my acct. A guy was der before me n he claimed d machine was nt dispensing and left in annoyance. I was about to slot my card to try my luck wen suddenly N10k came out. I searched for d guy bt he was gone. So I did d normal. Help him kept it in my pocket and left for home. Will pay him back on judgement day if we meet again

mine hapen jst last friday when am despirately in need of money, try withdrawing 42k being d last in ma acc i instantly receive alert without pay.....i feel like fainting.....and was angry wif my self and every body around me that day

Mine was when I realised the following day that one #1,000 note out of #30,000 withdrawn was fake.

I've never been disappointed by ATM. I know it happens,but i've been lucky so far.

Once wanted to withrdraw N10000 from an ATM at _____ bank, with my e_____ card.

Transaction appeared to go through.....but the ATM did not pay me.

Eventually I had to take my card and withdraw the N10000 from somewhere else.

Am still waiting for my N10000 (sigh).

The machine charging me 65naira after transacting more than three times in another bank's atm machine.

Mine is unforgettable. I had only N10 on me and it was a Thursday evening. So I went to the bank to use the ATM. Unfortunately the machine swallowed my card. That same evening, President Yaradua died. The next day which happens to be a friday, banks didn't open, I could not get to collect my card or go to my bank and withdraw over the counter.

I fasted all through the weekend. And I couldn't call my folks to bring money cos I had no credit. I was in the hostel and my friends had travelled cos it was after exams. I will never forget that experience. Never!

Mine was terrible, ì was 100% sure i pressed 1k and the atm paid me 2k, i come dey happy .before i reach house i got a text . And they charged 3k,
the msg dey tell me say why i no return 1k since i click 1k and it paìd 2k

After spendin all i hav wit me i decided to pik a cab to take me to an ATM and frm dia i wll proceed to d park to start returnin to kd... We went to lyk 10 ATMs all givin same error of netwk. I had no choice dan to tell d cab man to jus take me to Mabuchi wher i wll get a taxi to kd.. On gettin to d park i askd for chartered which dey charge me 8k and i collectd 2k frm d driver to giv to d cab man.. I went borrowing 10k wen we got to KD to giv bak to d driver... Its one awful day i wll never forget in ma lyf
