shema101: That's the problem! Whenever we talk of abolishing this social menace called okada, someone just spring up to remind us that the rate of robbers and crime will increase as if these people have not been doing something before they joined the okada business; as if they were born with bikes from their mothers' wombs. If you don't observe closely, you won't notice the hazard these bikes cause on our roads. The truth is: civilized societies have all done away with bikes as means of transportation!!! Just imagine over 500 bikes on a road within a 1 kilometer pace. Isn't that madness? 2 Likes |

The Association of commercial motorcycles should launch a protest voicing their displeasure towards this unwanted development. It goes a long way to underline how inconsiderate our POLITHIEFIANS are. Enforcing unwarranted laws in the name of development. God help this nation. By the way, does this also affect my personal sports bike? |

neuljosh: PLEASE Bro point of correction, Okada is the Last thing on the list that makes nigeria looks 3rd world. If I start to list I will turn this into something else. Is it the rate of corruption in ALL and EVERY Sector. Or is it the rate of Poverty, Unemployment and Insecurity. Our Educational sector Nko have you seen the WAEC and GCE RESULT nation wide lately and every one turns a blind eye towards it instead we have the likes of PROJECT FAME, DANCE HALL, ULTIMATE SEARCH, etc every where on our TV stations No one reads again in this part of the world because the once who had studied are not celebrated in any way what soever And my friend WHERE YOU HAVE CLOSE TO 80- 90 PERCENT OF YOUR POPULATION living below the average standard of living and Non educated you have a 3rd world automatically. Its not magic at all. Its so bad that the dress I plan to wear to chuch this morning I ironed it since friday night because I know what NEPA or what every they are called are capable off. So please okada is the last thing on that list. 8 Likes 2 Shares |

2sexi: Banned it in Lag. But onkt on highway/express ways besides Lagos roads are awesome , he gave them marwa or is it keke napep at subsidized rate Gave them BRT and loads of other buses / vehicles cheaper . Apart from the Okada rider's plight check the masses plight if or when there's no road , no cars and no Okadas. The same government that promised to ban importation of gen in 2008 because power will be stable do we have the power ? Still went ahead and sold power holding to friends and family The same government that prefers to pay billions of dollars to non existent petroleum refinery as opposed to building one in the country. People still queuing to buy fuel as at last week . The same government that denied Chibok girls's capture The government that pardoned and almost brought back Alamesiya or was it James Ibori known criminals This same government banned #bringbackourgirls campaign only for their friends to use the slogan for their own campaign $15 Mullion returned by south Africa , no weapons purchased and someone's probably already chopped the money. In the future Nigerian army will still have problems of weapons The government that failed to protect the lives of Nigerians old and young in the North as opposed to their oath and constitution The government that has not been able to rescue or negotiate the release of 200+ innocent girls for months but his in laws wedding made covers of international news The government that believes its above the law using TAN to campaign when its not yet time to. Fellas the future is in our hands we've seen what this one can do always leaping from mountain tops not wondering what's down below or how safe it is . We know that they don't care its as Id there's one spirit in that office that wants them to stay there forever . Let's give someone else and another party a chance .PDP has been running the nation 1999 they believe its their right to own ruin and squander let them take a break for a while. It doesn't matter what other party wins #kickcluelessgovernmentout 3 Likes |

Rapmoney:Bros what were they doing before since u know them all. Do you know that many ventured in to okada becos they have nothing doing and that was what they could afford for a means of lively hood. When u want to make policy you need to consider the degree of its after effects and what the short term and long term implications are. Stop looking at the surface of the bike menance but take an holistiv look at the situation at hand |

When Governor Tunde Fashola of Lagos banned the use of commercial motorcycles (okada) from plying some major roads in the state, the PDP used it to castigate the APC as being an anti-people's government; now the PDP led FG wants to do same across the country. 1 Like |
