Most likely they will know, and they will deny you. But give it a try. Find out for yourselves.

Is it true that immigration turn pregnant women back at the point of entry or give them just 1 0r 2 months entry clearance? If yes, how can one beat the low entry clearance game?

Not true.
They would not turn a pregnant woman back at point of entry if she is able to prove that she can pay her bills.

It is possible that one might scale through and one might not. A few years ago, a couple came to the US and had a baby. Allegedly they claim they didnt collect any assistance from the government and were billed less than a thousand USD. Fastforward to this year and they need a renewal because visa has expired and a baby is on its way. The US embassy in Nigeria requested for the bill since  she has an American citizen. The bill of less than a thousand was produced and the consular officer laughed into their faces and said they must be joking.

Long story short, visa was denied. Now its helter skelter like  headless chickens to pay the bill they were supposed to pay in the first place which they could afford and came with the dough.  The hospital tells them the govt has taken care of it, they insist on the bill being sent and they are told they cant give out the bill cos it has been paid. Moral of story, you are getting a valuable issurance policy by having dual nationality for a child. Please if you have the funds pay up. This is to avoid the heart ache it will cause.
If you can't afford to have the child in the hospital use birthing centers. Its safer and quite affordable.

Those ones are either naive or stoopid.
Even in the most backward American backwaters, you can't spend less than $8k all in for delivery fees. Even in the public or teaching hospitals, hospital will charge you for the facilities and hospital stay, following which all the specialists will charge their own separate. Physicians, gynecologist, attending, anesthesiologist if you get an epidural, paediatrician, etc. You go sort all man grin
Who did they expect to believe that crap?

One question was asked earlier, and no one seems to have given a straight answer. My wife is in the US, and is due (birth) in February, but at the border, it was stamped on the passport 'to leave the US Dec 15, No Extension'. Our intention was that she'll give birth there (I will cover 100% of the bills). What should we do now? stay and give birth? leave and come back(pregnancy is very well visible)? Please I need advice,

They cannot randomly decide not to carry somebody.
Before you book your ticket, read the airline T&C. A pregnant woman is expected to carry a letter from her doctor certifying her fit to travel. Some airlines don't carry women over 36 weeks pregnant, others do not care. For example, Delta has no such restriction.

Hello Kolly Mercy,

I was 20 weeks pregnant when I applied for the visa but didnt tell that to the VO cos it wasn't showing. I got the visa without any problem cos I had the right documents (which were not checked by the way).

I was 32 weeks when I travelled and my port of entry was Newark, New Jersey. After I was stamped in for 6 months, I was directed to customs for properly checking. At this point, they still didn't know I was pregnant but the custom officer checking my luggages discovered some ante natal drugs and asked me how old the pregnancy was. I feigned ignorance but later told him the truth and also showed him the correspondences I exchanged with a birthing center in San Diego, California reflecting that I was scheduled for appointment with them. At this point, the CO took copies of the scan I had with me, the correspondences between me and the Birthing Center and asked me to wait for him. He went inside and came back to ask how I intended paying for my delivery and I told him I will be paying cash and showed him the cash. Thereafter he handed me my documents and joking told me his name and said he would be happy if I named my baby after him cos he asked if I knew the sex already and I told him.

I ended up not using the birthing center cos when I got to Arizona, my brother insisted that I deliver in Arizona and I agreed. I gave birth in an hospital and spent $3,500 for everything (including circumcision and post natal visits for me and my baby). The care I received was superb and I will recommend the hospital over and over again.

I delivered on a Thursday and on Friday morning a lady from the birth registration department of the hospital came to take the baby's details for birth certificate and social security number. I told her the I needed the birth certificate early to enable me process my baby's passport and she told me to pick up the BC on monday office at the vital records office. Lo and behold I called the vital office on Tuesday morning and my baby's BC was ready for pick up. Iwent to the office and paid $20 for it. 2 days later, I went to the court and applied for an expedited US passport for him and was asked to start tracking online after 3 days. Instead of tracking, I called the national passport center and told them I needed to travel in less than two weeks and needed to send the passport for Nigerian visa. I was told processing will take 2 to 3 weeks, but I ended up getting the passport after 9 working days. Thereafter, I sent the passport and required documents to an agent in Washington who processed the visa within 3 days. My baby was issued 2 years Nigerian visa. The SSN card arrived exactly two weeks after I delivered.

We are back to naija and I am planning of getting a Nigerian passport for him soon. The rest is history......

Mercy, hope the information I have given above will be of help to you. For more info, you can send me a mail on vivianobas@yahoo.com as I can always access my mails 247

@ abiolu... I didn't get your message (maybe you sent it to a wrong mailbox) cos I have replied all the messages I received. It is an hospital (mihs) in Phoenix and the $3,500 covered everything.

Hi Diva,

I honestly didn't get any mail from you as I have replied all the mails I received regarding the US delivery thing. I had a physical cash of $7,500 with me and also had a credit card that had $3,200 in it. It is a red flag when you take over $10,000 cash with you to the US hence my reason for loading some amount into the credit card. Hope this information helps.
