Okay guys,

I went to Garrison, Aba Road today to repair my devices. I'm sure you noticed I have been offline. I actually lost my Nokia X in a bus from school, and my tablet screen cracked the next day. I know exactly what you're thinking. I think it's from the village too.

First of all, those Garrison boys are wonderful. Odiegwu! If you see the way these boys pounced on my tablet and fixed it before we even agreed on a price. . . I had to pay them what they asked  and I exchanged contacts with one who called me Egbon and Ogbeni and spoke rapid Yoruba to me while he worked  as if I understood one word.

After the thing was fixed, I found my way home in a cab: two men sat in front with the driver and  I sat behind, between a woman who scented of curry and a really huge man who kept his neck bent for most of the ride so it wouldn't keep hitting the roof.

In the mad Port Harcourt traffic close to Waterlines Roundabout, something really bad, or good . . . In fact exciting happened. Our taxi hit one really fine looking Jeep from behind. When such things happen in these parts, the one with the more expensive car shouts louder, even if he is the offender. But in this case, our little blue and white taxi was the offender. But our driver had the louder voice!!

He jumped down before the man in the Jeep and started an assessment of the damage, while swearing loudly. Soon, (as expected) the quarrel matured into a really serious affair. The woman beside me left the cab for another, complaining of her crying baby at home.

Soon the Jeep man started asking repeatedly "Do you know who I am? Do you know who I am?"

My friends, I had heard such an answer from a lecturer's story one time, but the reply the taxi driver gave was just beautiful in an abusive way:
"Of course I know who you are. Are you not the state governor? Shey no be you be Amaechi?"

Na there the quarrel take end o! The Jeep man just got into his Jeep and drove away quietly. We continued our journey, everyone almost died of laughter till we got out.
