it is better to cry out to the world than die in silence. Why is it that the FG hate the truth?Only yesterday, defence spokeman Chris Olukolade throws decorum to the wind by attacking Oby Ekwesili for calling his attention to massacre in Borno town.Bokos are busy killing our ill equipped Soldiers everyday like ants. They cried out for help,U court Marshal them.If Channels Tv didn't beam the rot in Police college, nothing tangible wud be done(we like to keep suffering and smilling in dis country). The Govt dat neglected/can't equip/pay our soldiers their due but eat billions food in a year/build cenotaph and decorate it with weed called flowers is a total irresponsible govt.WE WANT CHANGE,BUHARI IS THE ANSWER AND SOLUTION.VOTE WISELY 104 Likes 5 Shares |

Rubbish response, fight BH and everyone will know. You don't need to release statements when you are winning the war, everyone will see it. But when you hear of BH attacking and killing innocent people everyday, then you know there is problem. Action speaks louder then words! 53 Likes 1 Share |

Nigeria is doomed!! CNN reported on something that all Nigerians know and instead of the useless government to fix it they are calling the report satanic. Finger pointing and blame game is all they do. Nigeria is finished. 66 Likes 1 Share |

MrKnowitall:ode! boko haram is confined to the north east, do you think if CNN claims are true their trucks should be in kano (killing people like rats) let alone abuja! ISIS almost overtook all of iraq in a year! Guy its obvious this guys are working... we should be calling on Chad to support the fight, because this people allow BH into their territory after committing atrocities hence BH jurisdiction in borno. Common sense aint rocket science.. if we decide to engage chad militarily, UN will hala, amnesty international will hala, I just miss Abacha 31 Likes |

Is someone trying desperately to hide the ugly realities faced by these soldiers? Why condemn other media when very few sane Nigerian journalists or media houses would dare visit the dangerous core of these attack prone areas, to get undoctored reports of the realities on ground. Please, let Nigerians get actual and real-time information of this worsening situation, regardless of who brings it to us, before the nation is consumed overnight while we all slumber. A stitch in time would have saved nine, if the government hadn't languished in this self-deceit all the while. 23 Likes 1 Share |

The Yorubas say Alagbede to n lu irin loju kan ,oni nkan to fe mu jade. This isn't the first time soldiers are voicing their discontent about the ill equipment of the troops .some even went as far as defying orders to go and fight ,Recently an officer wrote a letter to the President about this same issue , the military court martial sentenced some soldiers to death over this very issue and now the CNN is reporting same ? The government and Defence headquarters are not being sincere ,they should deal with the issue raised and not come out to exonerate themselves off what they are guilty of. The Nigerian soldiers that I know are not cowards ,equip ,motivate them and they will perform wonders . I have 7 of my family members in the military ,3 retired ,4 still serving I know what I'm saying . 29 Likes 2 Shares |

Below are tweets analysing the western media propaganda by a young Nigerian Till now , @CNN is still calling Nigeria "Ebola nation" with 20 cases and 8 deaths and you think that's not deliberate? The other day,@CNN splashed on their screen the entire Northern Nigeria as being under the Boko Haram control and you call that Journalism? Why didn't CNN go to Maiduguri to interview the GOC to balance the story? Why Jos? Is Jos NE? Story is highly flawed and subjective The soldiers who went on CNN to disparage @DefenceInfoNG should be tried for sedition. There is a chain of command, it doesn't include CNN. The US refused to sign d Rome Statute of the ICC because their soldiers perpetuate the worst war crimes on earth, yet they accuse our army You think the West wants a stable and prosperous Africa. Stay there & be deluding yourselves. Of course, they use Africans against Africans The Baga situation was very unfortunate, one life lost is even sad, but the 2000 round figure being bandied about by the West sticks. The West led by the US have blocked all means for us to buy weapons, instead we are now running to Russia, Belarus and China. Defeating the BH insurgency would also require us examining the dysfunctional state of our military in terms of ethnicity & religion. During d tenure of Gen Dambazzau as COAS,he favoured his kinsmen in d army.Gen Ihejirika took over & did same. Is that how to run an army? Whenever the Nigerian state is ready for the conversation on ethnicity and religion, is when we start making progress as a nation. Nigerian military since 1966 remain a silent divided force. Every President aside Obasanjo appointed own kinsman. The fact is that Nigerian military is not trusted by any sitting President not to talk of during a regional crisis. That's the gospel truth. Yaradua and OBJ didn't visit the Niger Delta to assess troops because the military and the security team never cleared them to visit. Leave western media...there is a grand plan to divide Nigeria and they will sure use Nigerians Just follow peace in the coming elections to proove them wrong follow on twitter @YoungAndActiveN 36 Likes 5 Shares

Drill that soldier if he exists! The Military is supposed to be a place of discipline, not carefree attitudes! Is it not surprising that an accusation of incompetence can be levelled against one of their offshoots? Isiterere: I know you're not a Ph.D holder. So you can afford to be careless with your respect. It's understandable if you're not a scholar. You have no idea what it takes to get there, hence your carefree tongue. Just Quit Hating! 2 Likes

Truth be told, the morale of the Nigerian soldiers is low cos of inadequate weapons to tackle the insurgency, delayed salaries and allowances, victimization of some soldiers, high-handedness of their officers, lack of support for dead soldiers families. The troops are enduring a lot of deprivation and the dagger that did the damage still drips with blood. 6 Likes |
