shamecurls:Lies. CNN did not say the truth they gave a news they think will sell. the reporter was forcing words like corruption into the soldier's mouth so the purported soldier was just painting a very bad picture. |

The way some gullible individuals support CNN's report about Nigeria is unfortunate. They failed to see the hand hand writing on the wall. Its high time such individuals know that the West do not give a dam about Africa and and Nigeria in particular. They don't care whether you live or die. They don't care whether you have food to eat or water to drink. They don't care whether you have good health care system. THEY JUST DON'T CARE. What they really care about is their secret agenda. An agenda to entrange, force and implement in full, the code of practice for the "New World Order ". If you are not dancing to their code of practice, they'll use every resources at their disposal including your own people to bring you down. That's the reality. Nigeria, the largest black Nation on earth is under attack. 2 Likes |

iterator24: I. Have you compared the actual land area seized by BH and that stolen by ISIS? The difference becomes much smaller. Nigeria is more than two times bigger than Iraq... Ii. The comparison does not take into account that ISIS is funded by Petro-dollars, as they sell crude. Boko Haram grew as a result of government's failures. Also BH Boko Haram has captured more territory with less resources and in quicker time. They started territory seizing later. Iii. We need to be able to honestly see our problems and ask the tough questions. 2 Likes |

temitemi1:The same western media that sang lofty praises of us when we fought Ebola to a stand still Do your work and nobody's gonna "tarnish" your image. Now when you take a close look at the statement, you'd see exactly why we keep getting it wrong: they say they are gonna get to the root of the "blackmail", which means that is their priority!! Shouldn't the priority be to conduct proper checks and see if indeed the army lacks what it was reported they lack?? Why do we like living in denial?? What did CNN say really that we don't know already?? What is the mutiny the army has been witnessing all about Are we so daft in this country?? 1 Like 1 Share |

eleko1: eleko1: Stop your arrant satanic bunkum. We have a situation in our hands whereby foreign media, in conjunction with local destructive elements are dishing out false reports to the world and causing disaffection in the military and all you can muster are these blabs? Do Nigerian military need Ezekwesili's propagandist alarms to perform their duties? Did she accompany Nigerian soldiers to ECOMOG operations in Liberia, Sierra Leon and the rest? Were the ammunitions been used all this while supplied by you and Ezekwesilli? And for the feeding budget you mischieviously mentioned, is the presidency equitable with day-to-day ordinary families? Please stop your cynicism in the name of campaigning for a certificate-less despot. Engage in an issue-based and objective discuss and stop maligning the Fed govt and the military, please! |

asala1:So it is true that the Boko boys are advancing west of Nigeria as reported by CNN? you see, when Nigeria is pull down by western/opposition propaganda, not only GEJ will suffer it, all of us. No body says don't report what is real, but stop reporting what is not true. why is it that is only the bad things about Nigeria they like reporting. Nigeria forth Ebola to a stand still here, we hosted one of the best economic summit they could not report it one day, but quick to report Boko Haram evil deed. God will put you and all enemy of Nigeria to shame. 1 Like |

Youngandactive:I honestly agree with your analysis. I really do not trust the western media and what they report about Nigeria and Africa In general. They never report our successes of progress but they are quick to show the world how 'backward' our continent is. But how else can we get the world to focus on all the ill activities going on in government and top echelons of the Military. I honestly believe our soldiers are ill-equipped and are not mentally & financially motivated enough to fight this war. If a soldier is being sent on a mission where he knows his enemies are not looking to take any prisoners, he should be given the very best of weapons to fight the enemy. Its a shame what we do to ourselves in this country. Also take for example the Armed forces remembrance day held yesterday. Did you notice just how our so called elites and the general citizenry did not pay respect or show any concerns for the soldiers who have laid down their lives for this country? I usually ask myself, is it that most people are not informed or they are just not bothered? This BH insurgency got to this stage ONLY because GEJs administration did not ACT early enough. He and his team kept pointing fingers of accusation at the opposition rather than to CRUSH the insurgents at the early stage. Now, the lives of thousands of innocent citizens have been lost and the war has still not been won. I will vote for change and i can only hope that having a GENERAL at the helm of affairs of this country will change our fortunes for the better. GEJ has failed this country and its citizens. #GMBOSIBANJO2015 2 Likes |

iterator24: Nobody can bring you down without you permitting it. Nobody can bring you down unless you bring yourself down. Why should anubody ever want to bring Nigeria Down? Nigerians are harming Nigeria. Freedom Ís priceless. Freedom is golden. All I want to be Is free. It saddens me when ever I have to foist my opinion for the sake of people that could suffer from dogma but even at that, its what I think and its what I feel. I don't know when, but I'm sure someday we'l still have to take the colonial masters to some sort of International Court of Justice. Sometimes Í wonder to myself, whose idea was "Nigeria"? I have never read it in a book or anywhere where the Hausa , Igbo and Yoruba sat down one day and collectively agreed to live together as an entity. Normally, a Man is supposed to see a lady, develop feelings for the lady, Ask her out, date her for a period of time, then if they are compatible, head for marriage.. Yes! Compatibility... Were they ever compatible? Did the hausa, igbo yoruba people, find themselves, date themselves and agreed to marry themselves or it was a forced union? Who forced it to start with. The truth of the matter is, I think Nigeria was someone's project .. Dame Flora Shaw (lord luggard's wife) Miss Flora Shaw was the one that coined Nigeria. Nigerians never envisioned Nigeria for themselves. The Nigerian Dream was from the British and not from Nigerians themselves. Gone are the days when your parents would chose a wife for you. Britain did not only chose for us, they forced the marriage. In the united kingdom just recently, we had a case where Scotland was subjected to a referendum to vote on weather or not to remain a part of the united kingdom or break away to be a country for themselves. They voted to remain a part of the united kingdom anyway.. What's my point? PeÓple should be allowed to Çhoose what's good for them. In the history of Nigeria, I think the only time there has ever been unity, I mean true unity was just À little after the colonial masters left. Truthfully, people were happy, there was a lot of euphoria in the air and people felt fulfilled. The hausa igbo and yoruba man felt fulfilled to have fought a common cause of gaining freedom from their colonial masters. There is nothing like freedom. I argue that, after gaining some sort of independence from the colonial masters, we got carried away and forgot we should have gained a sort of 2nd independence from ourselves. 1st independence from the colonial Masters and 2nd indepÉndence from ourselves because Nigeria itself was never our dream bÙt a dream of Flora Shaw. She decided to coin the phrase Nigeria, because the people live along the Niger Area. lest I forget, the niger itself is a river that doesn't even unite us but divides us right from the futajaleon islands down to where it empties itself. You see, a people united can achieve anything. That was why the country was happy and united as a Nation just immediately after the colonial master left because they felt they have collectively fought a common cause to gain freedom from their colonial masters. Unity, fast-forward to 2014, That was why the country united could fight Ebola to a stand still. In any marriage, nothing can be achieved outside unity because the 2 have agreed to become one.. In the case of Nigeria, the 3 have agreed to become 1, or maybe they never agreed. I would love to see an "AGREEMENT" document that supported Amalgamation. Never underestimate the power of unity. The question begging for my answer is this.. You reading this, Search your heart of hearts, "is Nigeria truly a United Nation" If Nigeria is not truly a united nation, then we should be freed from ourselves. The hausa, igbo and yoruba man should be made to account for themselves individually and not collectively as a nation. The true blocks of nation building are missen. There is no love, there is no unity, there is no tolerance, there is no sort of National cohesion, there is no single drop of National Integration. What we have is strife, strife leads to hate, hate leads to violence, and violence leads to death. Is Nigeria on a Mission to self-Destruct? Why should Nigerians Destroy Nigeria? We have a lot of in-fighting. Nigeria is like a marriage that is not working but for the sake of the children, the husband and wife MUST live together. Any marriage where the husband beats the wife everyday is not fit to be called a marriage, the husband and the wife should go their seperate ways. Marriages are built on love, trust, harmony, mutual understanding. A Forced marriage never ever stands the true test of time. Í feel sad and ashamed of myself Àtimes I Éntertain the thought of Splitting up this great country but this is me and I can't help it. If only we could see what Miss flora shaw saw. If only we could key into her Dream of Nigeria, a Big United country Giant of africa, then we would'a been better for it. Here I am feeling low with myself and pity for my country. Its truly amazing what we can achieve if truly we are united. Ok, let's go Biblical.. It was said at a certain time in history people lived together and spoke just one language. (No hausa, no igbo, no yoruba, it was just 1 language) You can achieve anything provided u are UnÍted. They thought to themselves, what can we do.. So they decided to build a tower up to heaven to see God. God knew they wÓuld achieve what they set out to do because of the Unity that abound. Its on record God simply set Language barriers between them. So, when they were building the tower to see God, and God set language disparity between them, that was the end of the Project. Sometimes I used to feel Nigeria is a Project that was Dead on Arrival. Its either we come together and agree within ourselves to live as a Nation or we agree to all go our seperate ways. Something tells me, in time to come, we would still take Britain to an International Court of justice to Dissolve this Union called Nigeria. So much Animosity, so much Hate, so much dis-trust exist amongst the people yet they are one country. How so be it? Some quotas argue that the only thing we have in common as a Nation is the River Niger, but I'm of the opinion that even the River Niger Divides us to parts, that's why we have the right and left side of the Niger and where she Éventually empties herself. The river itself is not like encapsulating us like binding us around. River Niger in the first place was just a base to have coined the Word "Niger-Area" and hence Nigeria, we all could live around the Niger Area but don't necessarily have to be one country. Nigeria is a Place and not a People. We must define whom we are. I'm really confused. 1 Like |

The world is in competition , some nations form a bloc to pursue similar interests it's time Nigeria to put it's home in order and act like a sovereign nation should. A lot of innocent citizens are dying daily, if that doesn't concern you it does concern sane people with blood running through their veins. Hysterical! It is either both the FG and Military are both re.tarded, or it is just the plain old living in denial synonymous with these plonkers. A picture of the Nigerian army will convince any sane person that those guys are ill-equipped. Those guys don't even wear the proper military gears - it is that glaring. Honestly, they are no different from the militants they're fighting albeit those militants outnumber them, so where is the advantage needed for them to win? Those guys are just being sent out there on a suicide mission - while the utterly corrupt government gets fat off the monies set aside for them. Also, I still don't know how you can win Asymmetric Warfare without proper surveillance and intelligence gathering - two things the Nigerian army lacks. And they don't even have air advantage; those alpha jets are too obsolete to do anything. 3 Likes |

These same Nigeria soldiers that are complaining of not equipped were the same soldiers the government have sent out to some other countries and they made and are still making victory. Why is it now, they have war in their backyard that they become sickly equipped. It is better we say the truth as it is. We should stop blaming the government. The truth is that, they are well equipped, but, wearing the cloth of cowards and disloyalty. Simple and short...The are not ready to fight their brothers with the same belief... |
