Yes, it might pose a problem if they find out, and I don't think webform can solve this issue.

In the past, those in similar situations like yours were all denied, despite the fact that they sent webform messages to IRCC to correct their mistakes.

This is a misrepresentation, and you can't correct it through a webform message.

My sister-in-law is currently in the same situation. She sent them a webform message on August 17 saying that she made a mistake on her visa application and that she would like to withdraw it.

She's still waiting for their response.

Hello, I’m new here and wanted to get some insight. I am thinking of wanting to sponsor my younger sister for a 1 year program in Canada (we are looking at Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island). However my sister is 21 and is finishing a diploma program. She does not have a job because she is a full time student. No marriage or properties or business and no substantial money.

What are the chances of approval if all proof of funds are from the sponsor? There will be nothing in my sisters name. I’m planning on doing everything.

Is it helpful if her sponsor is US based?

She's young and that's good. If she's your sister then you start now to package her application, the better for you!

If you have a business or a company, she can start getting paid on a monthly basis to show she's employeed.

You can also do a Gift Deed to her, notarise and sign an affidavit to it.

She's young, doesn't need to have much property to her name. You can be her Sponsor Full Time.

And being her sponsor from USA doesn't mean anything. So far you can provide all the details and documentations, then you're good!

Also, I'd rather you go to the student Visa thread to get more information and clarification. Here's for Visitor, so you might not get much information.

To be honest , I personally think they have a quota to meet up and once they do, they may suspend for a while unless it's super visas .
If you recall Canada visitors visas could take years now people without family or friends are being issued visas 4-6 weeks after biometrics .

Same way the US woke up one day to say some countries were no longer eligible to apply for the DV lottery and the UK decided that effective Jan 2024 unless for research courses , students can't come with dependants .
I THINK Canada won't stop issuing visits visas but they will likely go back to the old way . Especially as so many people are considering using the visitors visas for long stays . Already it's already affecting housing .
I am sure the number of people that applied for visitors and student permits in the last 3 yrs has tripped .
Let everyone stay focused and do what they need to do asap.

My children's passport were collected but was given back when receiving the new one . This was.in Dec2022 and Jan 2023.
Perhaps they do now .

Remember they used to stamp cancelled without prejudice and they stopped , perhaps they do it on the system now .

What's the purpose of the Canadian visitor visa since you already set to travel to the UK on 27th of next month?

Abort mission, you can't get approval with your passport stamped before 27th.

Better still, you can apply from inside the UK.

No one can say with certainty how much money one should have in account before applying for a visa because everyone's case is different.

I will suggest that you have more than the cost of the trip to be on safe ground. At least 2.5 to 3 times the cost of the trip.

Nothing is impossible, but to be realistic, the tendency or probability that you will get a visa decision before September 27 is close to zero.

If I were you, I would apply in the UK because your chances of getting it as a student in the UK are high, and the processing time frame is quicker than applying from here in Nigeria.

That was what I did in my first application and I was denied even after sending webform to them but still they ignored me then.

IRCC portal don't shows update most time but if you can set up a tracker with your UCI you will see alot going on with your application.
