Two Retired Generals Contradict Each Other On Buhari's Certificate by Tranquill: 11:10pm On Feb 24, 2015 |
General Paul Tarfa said "In those days when Nigeria was Nigerianising its military, many of the officers that you seetoday did not even have their school certificates until long after. “When we were invited to go to Kaduna, we were given qualifying examination in English, Mathematics and General Knowledge, even before we took the school certificate exam. Some did not even wait to take their school certificates because vacancies were already waiting for them. “It was after that qualifying exam that we were recruited into the army. By the time some had their school certificates, they had become officers. “For example, Gen. Babangida never saw his school certificate until when he was head of state. I got my school certificate long after I became an officer". http://thenationonlineng.net/new/buhari-ordered-dismiss-48-errant-cadets-nda-32-muslims-gen-paul-tarfa/ General Olusegun Obasanjo "When I joined the Army in the 1950s, I needed to have a Cambridge certificate or West African School Certificate or GCE with a minimum of six subjects to be able to join the military at the time. “I don’t know of anybody who was an officer at that time that did not have similar certificates. “Buhari joined the Army about four years after me and if I needed such a certificate to be admitted into the Army, I don’t know how he could have avoided it" http://www.punchng.com/news/obasanjo-backs-buhari-over-certificate/ So who among them is lying to Nigerians? 46 Likes 5 Shares |

Buhari's certificate deception still goes on. There is simply no rational, logical or moral ground to vote for Buhari. I believe and crave for Change, however, buhari's change is a monumental fraud on Nigerians. 69 Likes 3 Shares |

I guess Olusegun Obasanjo shall remain a fool for a very long time. One of the majors reasons that precipitated January 15, 1966 coup was that government of Nigeria under the Prime Minister Tafawa Balewa had allowed indigenes of northern region of Nigeria without a secondary school certificate to be commissioned as officers in Nigerian armed forces while denying such opportunity to southerners, especially the Igbo chaps with at least Grade 2 in WASC. 125 Likes 13 Shares |

Lies and propaganda Forseen near future (probably before 28 march) where every sane Nigerian both educated and uneducated will be fully aware that all these silly lies are propaganda and desperation for power by same old people using the slogan #change Am still questioning the plausibility of the existence of any certificate cus if there was any, he supposed to have dug out one all these while. The Court case was rescheduled for final verdit on 18th march, one question that comes to mind is "what do you feel will happen if he(Buhari) is later finally disqualify from running for the office of the President" 30 Likes 1 Share |

It's this whole idea of giving Northerners undue advantage that landed us in this mess in the first place. "Born to rule" loosely translates as "we suck at everything else, just put us at the top and we'll stay quiet until we die in office" 46 Likes 1 Share |

There was double standard of admissions for northerners and southerners. Southerners requirements were more stringent. So the two generals might be right. 15 Likes 1 Share |

Northern states are educationally disadvantaged and the irony is, they are not ready to go to school especially with the brainwashed Ideology that it is western Education and it goes against their religion. That's the dilemma we are as a nation 22 Likes |
