First Solar-wind Hybrid Demonstration Plant Commissioned In Niger by urboy1: 9:24am On Mar 01, 2015 |
Look.. nothing you guys go tell me.. NOTHING..... GEJ 19 Nigeria’s power authorities have commissioned the country’s first Solar-Wind Hybrid demonstration plant. The commissioning at Kainji in Niger State was described as timely as Nigeria continues to wage war against Gas-To-Power-Pipeline vandals. It is Nigeria’s first power plant that combines more than one form of renewable energy technology and is able to operate off-grid. It is expected that power institute students will do their practical learnings from the plant. Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Power Godknows Igali says investing in renewables is a practical solution to the incessant pipeline vandalism that has hindered Gas-To-Power supply. The power plant will not only serve as training facility for the National Power Training Institute of Nigerian students but also as a reference point for electrification projects across the country. http://www.aitonline.tv/post-renewable_energy#sthash.UtLiG4rs.dpuf
