The water table doesn't appear deep, so it wouldn't cost much to sink boreholes. I often wonder what is the duty of LGA chairmen, who always claim to be closer to the people, at the so-called grassroots level?

The amount of ineptitude and callousness as a result of corruption in the country is mind boggling.
It won't be a surprise to find out that numerous bore-hole projects have been budgeted for, and executed on paper in that LGA.

Even N500k honestly channeled for this purpose, will bring a huge relief to the people.

This is real suffering, the corpers there should build a borehole there as a CDS project.

They dont need to use their money rather they should solicit for funds.

What a pathetic situation. The guy be like say him dey cry for that first picture. lolz grin

But see the same guys laughing in the last picture. Its just part of life's hustle for the guys. That's why boys can survive anywhere once there is a way. I wonder how the females must be coping though. I can't imagine them going to this length to get water. Most probably its the water that those guys struggled to get that the ladies would still use. grin

Well said.

At times I begin to wonder if our government uses charms to blind the eyes of the masses spiritually so as to prevent them (the masses) from seeing who they truly are. Cos I see no reason why a constituency which receives allocation from the federal government cannot boast of any form of development. People walk miles just to fetch a muddy water when a proper bore-hole can be dug for the benefit of everyone, no electricity, no good roads...etc.

And yet this same people would re-elect the same politicians who failed them back into power, despite the fact that their presence as leaders has very little influence on the development of the constituency they represent.

Of a truth suffering has become part of our normal lifestyle.

There are lots of well there, they dry up daily and are dug daily. Know that this is far from the residential areas.

True talk bro.
Imagine passing through this stress to get water and these set of people will support these leaders based on ethnicity/ and religious affiliation forgetting that poverty cant differentiate using ethnicity or religious affiliation.
I did more than this to get water for during my service year in the North and I surely know that some communities in the southern region too aren't left out in the misrule of our so called leaders.
Suffering and smiling has been our problem in Nigeria.
When I read comments from those that are victims of this misrule of these leaders of ours even on this forum, I cant but shake my hear and ask; which way forward Naija?

MANY OF THOSE DUMB SKULLS FETCHING THE CHOLERA INFESTED WATER WILL STILL CLAIM GEJ'S ADMINISTRATION HAS TRANSFORMED THEIR LIVES.

THIS IS INDEED THE KIND OF TRANSFORMATION THEY CAN OFFER THE GULLIBLE MASSES WHILE THEY AND THEIR CHILDREN HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN WATER WITH THE PUSH OF A BUTTON.

MANY OF THE TANOIDS ARE BORN TO SUFFER AND SMILE AND I WISH THERE IS A WAY TO SEGREGATE YOU IDIIOTS IF BUHARI WIN BY MARCH 28 SO YOU WON'T BE PART OF THE POSITIVE TRANSFORMATIONS HE BRINGS TO THE TABLE undecided

Opportunity for the NYSC corpers posted there to do a borehole there as community project.

On a more serious note....the chairman of Gwer LGA should resign.
