There is no doubt that one cannot decipher the content of another’s heart, but can certainly tell the state of mind of a person or what they may be thinking by virtue of their behavioral gestures.

It will be great to know that these fortune 500 business millionaires who today have built successful business empires “unwittingly” shares common behavioral characteristics. Let me quickly draw your attention to this fact: just because “fortune 500” is mentioned here, does not mean it is a routine for any successful existing or startup entrepreneur, but in a generic scene it is usually the case.

If you have ever failed before, and learned to plan more successful subsequently, am sure you will agree that you may just be exhibiting one of the habits stated below unknowingly.

These five habits are common with fortune 500 business leaders:

1. They are die-hards and tenacious: From the stories of the likes of Instagram, Google, Konga, PortalS, just to mention a few, you will realize they are strong-willed, tenacious and hardly give up even when the cards seems to be stacked against the odds. They certainly would have their moments; nonetheless, their innermost willpower overwhelms their odds.

2. They are inquisitive: There is this usual saying: “he who asks never misses his way”. Mentorship has proven to be a way one will certainly make fewer or no mistakes based on expert advice from mentors. Be aware that finding the right mentor does not necessarily mean you need to have a one-on-one coaching/interactivity with your desired mentor. You can gain inspiration from their lifestyle or by reading their stories as well.

3. They are people-oriented: When it comes to this aspect, put in mind that at inception of the business they may not be people-oriented; but in an attempt to endear themselves to the people by way of networking, they become aware of their responsibility to ignite their relationship and commitment to the people. Well of course if the purpose of a products / services is to cause chaos, certainly it becomes insignificant.

4. They are conservative: They hardly vie to drive the best cars, wear the mind-blowing outfit, or want to be seen in the most popular places. They sometimes use only a pair of shoes for a long time! Though it does not mean they do not live their lives or engage in social activities, but let us attribute it to Mother Nature as “their new habit after much business adventures”.

5. They are broad-minded and rash: They like to try out new things, unwilling to yield to defeat, like to develop new ideas and consider the current state as quickly fading away. Still referencing the likes of Konga (Shagaya forwent e-motion advertising & Dealday to start-up Konga), Google (Larry attempted to download the entire web onto his PC to study the relevance of web links), Instagram (Kelvin scrapped Burbn almost entirely in order to build an entirely new app from ground up) etc. At some point, entrepreneurs may find themselves doing something they never planned, but in the end, find them just working out.

The comment herein is not intended to condition the minds of every aspiring or existing entrepreneur to the same exact behavior. However, it is not a criterion for success, rather to give an idea of a generic behavioral trait of business leaders.

cheesy Cheers!
