I hope this gets sorted out quickly:

Nigerian forces kill children in airstrike over border in Niger, official says

NIAMEY, Feb 20 (Reuters) - The Nigerian military has killed and wounded children in an airstrike in neighbouring Niger, a local governor in Niger, state television and an aid agency said on Sunday, although Nigeria's armed forces said they were still investigating.

He did not say how he knew that Nigerian forces carried out the attack. Niger's state television also said it was carried out by Nigerian forces, without providing evidence.

"As a matter of policy, the Nigerian Air Force does not make any incursions into areas outside Nigeria's territorial boundaries. That's our policy," Major General Jimmy Akpor, Nigeria's Director of Defence Information, said. He said an investigation was underway.

He said, such global alliance and collaboration will definitely open opportunities to explore common goals and aspiration in the fight against terror. Russian supreme leader Putin.

Has just invaded a sovereign country with zero provocation and justification. It's about Putin's grandiose ideas of a new Russian Empire.

I use the term Supreme leader because there is absolutely no check and balance on his power. They don't even rely on public opinion.

Everything is totalitarian any dissent is met with violent murderous retribution with spurious laws to bremove all free press in Russia.

What are the implications for Africa and Nigeria.

We are seeing the establishment of a new world order based on Putin idealogy. As a consequence , Democracies are looked upon with disdain and the rule of law of no consequence.

Russias Putin is very at ease in creating alliance's with murderous bloody undemocratic political despotic ruler's. Because that's what he is.

It means that unpopular and undemocratic political leaders can be propped up by Russia to the detriment of the nation. Examples abound ; Libyay General Haftar, Mali ruling Junta, and I think Burkina Faso and CAR will soon join.

There has been a pilot roll out in Mali. Which means that the scenario playing out in Burkina Faso will become a common occurrence.

The French have left Mali essentially creating a staging base for Islamic jihadists to attack the entire West African sub region. Because the Mali Army is incapable and Incompetent in securing there territory from Islamic jihadists.

If Putin successfully implements regime change and I'd able to prop up and impose a Russian stooge government in Ukraine the whole world will be at risk.

China may feel emboldened to invade Taiwan.

These are very dark days ahead.

May God save us all.

You are talking of a tyrannical ruler in Saddam Hussein who gased the Kurds in his bloody blatant genocide.

The same Saddam that invaded Kuwait without any justification beyond his own expansionism ideas.

Yes the WMD existed at one time but when the war started they seem to no longer exist.

There was a UN mandate albeit in my opinion somewhat spurious. Nonetheless, two wrongs don't make a right.

There is no comparison whatsoever with what's happening in Ukraine and what happened in Iraq.

Please get real and don't be so bigoted.

COAS OPERATIONALIZES 37 NDA DEMONSTRATION BATTALION
...Charges Army Cadets to be exemplary

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Lt Gen Faruk Yahaya today 25 February 2022 operationalized 37 Nigerian Defence Academy Demonstration Battalion in Afaka, Kaduna State.

During the ceremony, which took place at the premises of the premier military institution, Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), the COAS stated that timely review and adjustment of Order of Battle for the Nigerian Army (NA) has become imperative, due to the fluidity and dynamic nature of contemporary threats to national security. He noted that this necessitated the need to establish the new battalion.

The COAS further disclosed that the establishment of the battalion had earlier been approved by the NDA Council, adding that its activation is a practical demonstration of the NA’s commitment to enhancing national security by complementing the capacity development efforts of the NDA, which has the mandate of producing quality junior military officers for the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Gen Yahaya stressed that in his effort to enable the battalion achieve its dual mandate of supporting the training of cadets and the provision of security to Kaduna State, he authorized the issuance of vehicles, arms, ammunition and other enablers to facilitate a smooth take off for the new battalion.

The COAS also commissioned the Headquarters of the Battalion and conducted a foundation laying ceremony to commence the construction of a standard barrack for officers and soldiers of the battalion.

While addressing the troops, the Army Chief charged them to be exemplary and live by the battalion's motto, which is, “Resilience and Adaptability”. He urged them to demonstrate the traits of the battalion’s mascot, the "Honey Badger", a creature, known to be fearless, resourceful, resilient and adaptable.

In an earlier event, which also took place today, the COAS addressed Passing Out Cadets of Short Service Course 47, where he charged the Cadets, who will be passing out tomorrow 26 February 2022 from the Nigerian Defence Academy, to imbibe the principles of their training and be loyal, dedicated and committed to military duties.

He also admonished the 293 Passing Out Cadets to shun societal vices such as “get rich quick and drug abuse syndromes” currently permeating the ranks of some misguided youths in the country. He added, that the NA has imbued them with requisite training and discipline to succeed in their military career and to actualize their life ambitions.

The COAS also expressed confidence in the standard of training given to the cadets and their ability to perform effectively in the field, especially, in defence of the nation and the citizenry.

Present at the events were the Commandant, Nigerian Defence Academy Maj Gen Ibrahim Yusuf, Principal Staff Officers from the Defence and Services Headquarters, Commander Infantry Corps and other senior officers from the NDA.

WMD are not stuff which can simply disappear without trace

Nuclear stuff leaves tell tale signs of contamination howsoever minute , which can easily be verified for weapons grade stuff

Biological stuff need high bio security facilities , one which one cannot simply dismantle due to threat of outside contamination during same

Chemical stuff same , there will be tell tale signs huge signs infact

There was simply no WMD otherwise Western media would have paraded it non stop given it was the reason they gave for invading Iraq

As I for Kurds I support them , they suffered much , if required Saddam could have been forced to negotiate with them , without invading , if Kurds were the concern for West.

Ironically West ( governments ) left Kurds subsequently to their faith at the hands of ISISI
Need I tell the faith of the yzidis at the hands of ISIS ?

Who created ISIS in the first place , one doesn't need to pull the trigger to be the murderer, one who creates condition with the express purpose of creating a murderer is more guilty

ISIS was allowed to be created to draw jihadis from Europe ( and elsewhere ) into the open, it was a intelligence operation

As for Russia I don't give a fuk , but understand this for the sake of weaker nations, that weaker nations need options to play against coercion by either side ( east or west ) one power block against another to safeguard their own interests , otherwise without options they will be open to exploitation

China is enemy , I would not mind it being brought down a notch , but not at the expense of it being made irrelevant , because if china is made irrelevant vis a vis west, next target for West will ind. , after that your country and so on

Multi polar world must be maintained to ensure one side doesn't exploit the weaker countries

As for morality and justification West is an piss poor example

Syria , Iraq , Libya etc
They supported dictators around the world who did large scale genocides eg Cambodia etc

The West who considers itself champion of free speech and democracy has blocked all and any Russian media in almost all platforms while it does it's own propaganda

Where is free speech now , free speech is tied to having unfettered access to all sides . Who are they to decide for others

Canada crushed the truckers protest by any means possible yet AI , UN , UNHRC had nothing to say yet they and ironically Canada went gaga over protests in other countries

Western media and both their govt and non govt agencies are nothing but tools to further their agenda

Even though I don't support Russian invasion , Putin had valid reasons for his own justification , West kept expanding NATO towards Russian borders despite assurances not to do so , same West almost went to war bec of Cuba

What is good for the goose is good for the gander
