Did you watch the video at all ?
Henry everything you said about Nigeria is right, except your last and first statements about Ethiopia, I don’t see your argument honestly.

These guys are exporting tanks, APCs and MRAPS to Uganda and other African Union countries, so what do you mean ??
I first watched that video in 2016.

They have a T-72/T-55 Tank overhaul facility. It doesn't mean they produce tanks. Are old model T-72s still in production?

If they produce Tanks, even exporting, why are they purchasing old T-72s from Ukraine?

What they have there is a facility not different from Nigeria army Vickers tank overhaul facility at the SVP in Bauchi. Does that mean we produce tanks?

They are not exporting any APCs either, to show you i know what i'm talking about, those APCs are vehicles made by GAIA automotive in Israel. They purchased 74 units.

They are only assembled in Ethiopia. The manufacturing process like what you have at Proforce is not there.

Lol, what MRAPs do they produce, you tell us?

Soldier I haven't recommended any books and won't be recommending for one who thinks he knows too much. Though u're self contradictory regarding books I might add you haven't read half I read in this life and wouldn't have read perhaps until you attain the rank of Colonel.

The last paragraph of your mention is no different from my allusions here and elsewhere that Nigeria has suffered from years of bad leadership. However the matter in question is in reference to Henry's factual claim that Nigeria is significantly ahead of Ethiopia in modern defence industry. These were accomplished under our democrat dispensation especially in the last three years. This is the point. No one denies that had we been practicing democracy since 1960 not even Egypt or Algeria will come close to our heavy equipment holdings. Nigeria has not arrived but it has left. Acknowledge that minimum.

Still displaying your act of ignorance and delusion.

Ethiopia is far ahead of Nigerian in most sectors if not all, a secondary school student will boldly tell you that. The facts are there !

I doubt your claims, it does not reflect in your facts. Now you are withdrawing back what you said; "
Bidexiii I have books to recommend for you.

The video you watched clearly feeds your perception."

Now I can see its pointless going into an argument with you embarassed

Calm down. Don't take it personal. I merely challenged your reasoning and you took the bait.

Ethiopia is a second rate power compared to Nigeria. Enough said. You might want to reconsider your allegiance if you they are so wow to you! I'd gladly facilitate your travel.

Ignorance and delusion might be your forte.

The manufacturing processes u referred to , what r they related to.
Apart from the chassis, imported steel and glass, every other thing is made in Nigeria for all their range of vehicles.

Apart from the raw materials for their bullet proof vests and helmets, the entire manufacturing process is done in Nigeria.

Same thing for the armoured boats.

perhaps you just feel like arguing, why else will somebody bring up boats when we are talking about a land locked nation with no navy.

henry show me a single facility in nigeria, (private or state owned) with the ability to manufacture, assemble, modify or upgrade military equipment at this scale. if you cant then no need for all these long talk.

It is a great thing that Nigeria is re-floating her national airline. However, it is best the government have very little to with it if we wish it to be successful.

Nigerians tend to run government own business with impunity. Look at Ajaokuta, Nigeria Refinery in Kaduna and Porthacourt, Bacita Sugar factory in Kwara State, etc. And we are not even talking about Government ministries yet.

So u´re still here. Speak for yourself. Btw don´t borrow my language. Go buy some books and keep yourself busy, you need it. Which facts sucks...you haven´t yet provided any other than regurgitating what you watched on video. I bet you if we put together a documentry of what we have achieved in one year from all sectors of our defence industry it will be more telling than what you watched. Alas! you´re incapable of original thinking to know that. I owe you nothing as we can see you know too much embarrasing urself. The bait I set you was easily avoidable.

We are talking about defence industry!

Are local manufacturing of tactical boats not part of a nation's defence industry?

Proforce has the ability to manufacture 450 APCs in a year. Perhaps you do not know they have 2 other plants in Port-Harcourt and Abuja apart from the Ogun plant?

I have told you that we have a larger and a more diverse defence industry than them.

Only South-Africa and Sudan have better defence industries than Nigeria in SSA.

Ok that´s a given. No one including myself is exactly happy with the state of affairs. Look at us measuring trouser with Ethiopia and Sudan. Its a shame. Sometimes it feels like denying the motherland and absconding. Still in this dispensation while we have not arrived we have left.

We hope one day a modern government comes through to truly make us what God ordained us to be. Right now I´m not very confident.
