You know you’re being silly right?
The soldiers in the pic I posted are from the Nigerian air force..

Look at the NASFC soldiers that linked their counterparts in Baga yesterday and compare them with regular Senegalese soldiers, our guys are clearly being short changed by their superiors, NA is provided funding in the budget every year for kitting and our guys in the frontline complain of lack of body armor and helmet and you’re here defending what ?

I’m proud of our galant men but I’m not proud of their generals/procurement officers or whoever is in charge of kitting them, deal with it bro.
grin wait, you didn't notice he was being sarcastic? grin

CAS CHARGES PERSONNEL TO REMAIN PROFESSIONAL, COMMISSIONS SNCOS’ ACCOMMODATION IN JOS

The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, has again charged officers, airmen and airwomen of the Nigerian Air Force (NAF) to remain focused and professional in performing their duties of protecting Nigeria’s territorial integrity. The CAS gave the charge yesterday, 10 January 2019, while commissioning a newly completed block of 18 units of 2-bedroom flats for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers (SNCOs) at 551 NAF Station Jos. With today’s commissioning, the effort of the current NAF leadership to increase accommodation sufficiency for personnel has been given a further boost.

Represented by the Chief of Administration, Headquarters NAF, Air Vice Marshal Kingsley Lar, the CAS said the project was geared towards enhancing the welfare of personnel to enable them focus on their tasks while spurring them to do even more in adding value to the Service. He enjoined the beneficiaries of the new housing unit to make the best use of the facility and ensure that the structure was properly maintained. The CAS stated that personnel would need to build on the significant successes recorded by NAF aircraft and NAF Special Forces personnel in Operations SHARAN DAJI, LAFIYA DOLE and DIRAN MIKIYA in the Northeast and Northwest of the country. He noted however that these successes would not have been possible without the resolute support of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, President Muhammadu Buhari. “We are indeed grateful to the government for this support and promise to continue to sustain our efforts towards enhancing a strong and prosperous nation”, he said.

In his welcome remarks, the Commander 551 NAF Station Jos, Air Commodore Kabiru Aliyu, said the commissioning was a dream come true for many personnel and their families who would enjoy the new facilities thereby further boosting their morale and willingness to excel on the job. He said the giant stride taken by the CAS in providing befitting accommodation for personnel was highly commendable. The accommodation, he said, was one amongst the many positive developments and initiatives of the present NAF leadership which would remain indelible in the minds of the 551 NAF Station Jos Community. Other dignitaries present at the event included Honorable Luka Madaki, who represented the Plateau State Governor, Barrister Simon Lalong, as well as traditional rulers, senior military officers and heads of paramilitary agencies in Plateau State.

The commissioning brings to 6 the number of housing projects commissioned in NAF Base Jos alone between July 2015 and January 2019. These include 6 units of 2 bedroom bungalows for Non Commissioned Officers (NCOs), a block of 10 units of one-bedroom Studio Accommodation for NCOs, a block of 30 units of one bedroom high-rise accommodation for NCOs and 6 blocks of 3-bedroom Married Officers’ Quarters (MOQ). Others are 2 blocks of 10 units of one-bedroom Single Officers’ Quarters (SOQ), a block of 18 units of 2-bedroom flats for SNCOs as well as a newly constructed Mess for NCOs.

sarcasm or not, you can't compare the kitting of sojas in real war to others who are only seen on patrols in a foreign land or doing some national day parade.

If it matters in the least
U guys will be pleased to note that I once ran in my shorts only under extreme external duress of unwelcomed foreign projectiles impacting close by. The proximity to danger is a matter of debate through , everything seems so close under duress grin

Its another matter I ran back in double the speed when I realised exploding to death is a better option compared to instant freezing to death. grin

The dangers of being a civilian is never appreciated in the truest sense.

14 soldiers killed in an ambush by Boko Haram terrorists, on December 24, 2018, were, on Friday, buried, amidst tears, by the Nigerian army in Kaduna State.

The deceased who were on escort duty, were ambushed on their way back to Kaduna by the terrorists on Damaturu-Maiduguri road.

Nigerian army and its lies, I am just wondering how many poor dudes believed the army's tales of Boko Haram losing the contest for Baga ? How many civilians heard that and went back to Baga only to be slaughtered by the terrorists who had won the contest ? Do their lives matter ? And now the same bastards who lied originally want to parade as heroes and liberators ? Was there even any fight to liberated Baga or did the terrs only vacate after they had archieved their goal ?
Some journalists were arrested for exposing the army's lies to the people and some ignorant Nigerians celebrated that !? Well, just keep hailing those who screw you. It is called Stockholm syndrome.

You are a symbol of impunity and shamelessness. When the time of reckoning comes, I know you will be in Dubai enjoying your millions of dollars stolen from the Nigerian military. What happened to the 1 billion dollars released to buy weapons ?

I think you don't understand what you are commenting on. You seem to want to throw insults after yourself complaining about insults ? Hypocrisy or not ? Well, let me at least share some of my logics drugs with you: boko haram took over Baga and the army lied about it. I can't make it any simpler, if your interest is to twist words which are written well enough for all to read and understand, then go ahead.

All I'm saying is, i bet there is a thread on this site to air such grievances, on here, we are here for a reason, and it's not to read about people ranting on and on about corruption or perceived lies, so why not use discussion threads that deal with such issues? Hey I'm just saying, that said, carry go Chief, ain't stopping ya, just don't get the point, not like anyone here was born yesterday, why scream over something when no one is listening. grin
