Sentiments aside, the Oba has no right to coerce any one to vote for a particular candidate. You don't tell full grown men and women who have brains to think for themselves and rights bestowed upon them by the laws of the land, who to vote for. This is simple common sense and it has been said here several times but how it still eludes some of the tribal bigots here amazes me. 2 Likes 2 Shares |

Some people can't see that most portions of the first report were in quote, hence, it was most likely true. Unlike this that is a summarised narration of transpired event 1 Like |

nzeobi: I am Yoruba and l endorse your opinion. Obas, if they respect themselves, should NEVER endorse any candidate........Just like Pastors should NEVER endorse any candidate. What they should be doing is "educating the people" on what they need to demand from the Government. But we must not forget so quickly that it was the same ignoble Jonathan who went on a spree of hopping from one Oba to another, BRIBING them with $250,000 and fleets on brand new SUV's!......like they can compel anyone to vote a particular candidate? Finally, Igbos should stop stoking trouble everywhere. How can the Oba of a cosmopolitan place like Lagos issue threat against one of his subjects? Assuming that was to even be the case, l will expect the Igbos t be wise enough not to turn such thing into a media frenzy! They should/would go quietly to the Oba and seek "clarification" since such thing would be an aberration and should not ever happen under normal situation. When trouble siddon jeje, make yanga no keep trying to wake it up o! Nuff said. Lastpage! 1 Like |

It is high time we replace the throne of Oba of Lagos with Monarchs of substance and acceptance, one with constructive eloquence that can be able to convince and persuade to vote at this 21st century. As planned to be a MEGA city, it needs an OMEGA Monarch to start. A character and bridge builder like Honourable BRF who always apologises when he goes the other way round.Still know these are massive electorates. The game is to win not to PRIDE. We should desist from fence builders to experience the wind of change. 1 Like |

raumdeuter:lf he said that and meant it as you agreed, why the damage control He is entitled to his opinion as is everyone, but this misinformed, reckless rant might come back and bite him in the a.ss It's so uncouth for a royal father. A father does not take sides with any of his children in public when they are in opposition to each other. He should have run things behind the scenes This is democracy not the local dictatorial monarchy he presides over Igbos have been living and prospering in Lagos for decades; their long-standing success has nothing to do with Fashola or any particular political party The peace and success lgbos enjoy in Lagos have always been down to their hard work and the hospitality of the Yoruba nation in the southwest, not just Lagos, lest the Oba take credit. l hope this unfortunate drivel does not turn out to harm Ambode's chances |

ChinemeOkpan: The disjointed story about the Lagoon says it all. Does it make sense? When in the history of Lagos has the lagoon swallowed people on its own for being against the 'interest of Lagos'? What is the 'interest of Lagos' in the Oba's opinion. As for Rochas Okorocha, you should ask him what he has done to make sure that the people of Imo state specifically stop moving out of the state in search of their livelihood. What investments has he attracted? What jobs has he created? What has he done to make Imo condusive for industialisation? You see why he will be kicked out on Saturday? rochas no get shame 2 Likes 1 Share |

Defcon1: There is nowhere that says a Father shouldnt take sides. If you have 2 sons, One is prudent and one is spendthrift and someone decides to give your family money for a business venture wouldnt you support the prudent son? Both Agbaje and Ambode are sons to Akiolu and the monarch chose one of them In the Bible it was said Jacob have I loved and Esau have I hated Their father Isaac openly loved Esau more than Jacob. Ibos have been living and prospering in Lagos because their host allowed them and accommodated them. They should keep doing their business and not interfere with the politics 1 Like |
