Anyone worried about the non-usage of Card Readers in the governorship election, can now take a chill pill. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has disclosed that Card Readers will be used for the governorship elections of Saturday, April 11. INEC says that that it has reviewed the operation of the Card Readers, identified the challenges and has consequently, taken adequate measures to address them. This development was communicated via a press release by Secretary to the Commission, Augusta Ogakwu, stating that like the Presidential and National Assembly elections, if the Card Readers suffers any hitches, the election may be shifted to the next day. http://www.kemifilani.com/2015/04/statement-from-inec-concerning-election.html?m=1 5 Likes 3 Shares

The most important thing is for their workers to come out on time with the materials. You can't fix accreditation for 8AM only for you to start by 2PM. It reduces voter turnout. 4 Likes |

Did PDP foresee the coming of electronic voting? Yes they did and quickly killed it saying the Constitution does not allow Electronic voting. Did PDP foresee diaspora voting? Yes they did and quickly killed the idea Saying territorial landscape is all the constitution provided for. Did they foresee the landmines hidden in the card reader? Yes Yes yes and yes. But they couldn't come up with any superior argument against it. Card reader, why are you this small but mighty enough to make almighty PDP quake? Card reader...hmm. .ssobsss 4 Likes |
